I'm going to have to try this in the LS1 Dodge Ram.

I work at a motorcycle shop and when i get there tomorrow I'm going to see if our yamalube brand is tcw3 rated, if so the truck is getting some.

But without any results as of yet I can testify that I work on alot of 2-stroke units, both marine and offroad. They tend to have cleaner carbs when disassembled vs regular 4 strokes. In a normal 4-stroke I have seen a tank of fuel cause a carb to varnish in as little as 1 month, many of the watercraft and 2-stroke dirt bikes can sit up for several months without needing a carb clean.

I am also going to try this on my gsxr-600 as I have the most accurate mpgs recorded so far... at a very consistent 43-44 mpgs I have recorded, a 45mpg result would be valid.....we'll see.

Has anyone tried this with 110 race fuel? I wonder if it would have good results still?

Yes...we run it in the altered. It significantly reduced the fuel pressure variants.

I usually get 9.3-9.7 in the city and have for the past month or so, ever since I got tuned for E85.

Obviously this is with 30-40 miles driven, hardly scientific, but just wanted to post up an update. When I fill up next time, I will put pen to paper an calculate and actual, non-GM computer average mpg.
So after two months of driving (and more tanks of gas than I would like to admit), and unfortunately, the 10.7 was an outlier, and I am seeing a consistent 9.1 to 9.4 on the dash display, which translate into 10 to 10.2 mpg with pen and paper. I don't feel any difference, like easier startup, running, smoother or quieter, however the logic behind it is worth me still running it.

I will post back up after a few more months and hope for better results.

How is everyone adding/measuring the oil? I was using a small Sta-bil bottle, but I think "someone" saw an empty bottle and threw it away. The neck would only hold 1/2 oz. So I just poured the ammount I need in the main part of the bottle. It was clear and had measurments marked on the side. I think a bigger Sta-bil bottle would work better. If they have one big enough that the neck would hold 4-5 oz's. You could keep the main bottle full of oil and just squeez how ever much you needed into the neck.

My wife is a nurse and I did think about getting her to bring home a big syringe. But I'm using the oil in 3 cars, 2 lawn mowers, and all my 2-stroke stuff. So I'm buying the gallon jugs. The syringe she would have I would have to put a tube on the end and then the measurments would be off. Can you use the 2-stroke syringe in a gallon jug?

Would have to do the same for this one, hose on the end. Mine didn't come with one, but I made one out of my father-in-law's spare oxygen hose

I can just picture an old guy grasping for air as you are adding oil to your gas.

So how do you get the measurments right with the tube on the end?

Guesstimate. The amount in that small diameter of a tube is minimal anyway. That's why I went with as small a hose as possible. One way you could check it out is to fill it up to, let's say one ounce. Then drain it into another measuring device (cup for instance). Calc the difference between 1 oz in the syringe w/ hose and what you measure in the cup. Then you know how much more is actually in the hose, for future measurements just factor in that 'hose' amount and compensate.

You're right that probaly wouldn't make that much of a difference.

The Walmart house brand comes in small bottles that have a clear side strip and measuring marks. I now buy the oil in gallon containers and simply refill the smaller ones.

i use a small sta-bil bottle. it's the 4oz size bottles. it's clear, and has marks on the side.

i now this is off topic........ what's the take on sea foam?? how does it compare to the tcw3?

i just ask because the sales rep gave me a couple of "sample" bottles and of course i told him i'd use them right away, but never really thought about it.

    Seafoam is a solvent.
