    BAD Wheel hop!!!!!

    Well went out to SPEEDWORLD today to try the new "combo".........The sus. DOESN'T like the 3.91's!!!!!
    It went 1.65's 60fts. before on the bottle out of the gate with 10lbs. in the BMR bags on the 17" ET Radials best et then was 11.72 @118.

    Now I can't even think about hitting the kit out of the gate!!! Tried 4 differant pressures in the bags went all the way up to 24lbs helped but still way to violent to spray out of the gate.

    Best pass was 11.71 @ 119.98 leaving on the motor and grabbing the unit about 100 ft out. Maybe I'll try some new springs...???????

    Has anyone else had this problem after gear swap?????????

    Yeah we have 2 05's here running 3:91's.....both dropped RWHP on the dyno ( parisitic loss) and had to relearn launching....one used the Koni shocks and Pedder Drag Springs with success...the other the drag bags....with not so much success....wish I could tell you something constructive here.....The Pedder drag springs and SLP bushing kits seem to stiffen things up....you running stock springs?
    I know launching with the transbrake at around 3800 I have the Koni's maxed out for stiffnes...and the Pedder drag springs and bushings.....The Koni's killed the wheel hop for me....I also had the cradle aligned....I know Pedders dealers are aligning the frame to the car now....and many are having success with that.....cost like $500 bucks but......

    Stock Springs

    Yeah Sarge, stock springs......Didn't think I was going to have to fuck with them since I had them working SO GOOD before !!!

    But I knew the 3.91's were going to make it worse or break something and sure enough!!!!
    I'll get it figured out soon here......Got my other car doing 1.28 60fts. on a 275/60 dragradial foot braking it.

    Yes tried 3 different press. started at 20....18....and 22psi. I'm running Mickeys 275/40/17 on stocks.....Car looks dead stock!!! Got to wax a SL55 Benz at the track and showed a Z06 GTO tail lights.....

    I have 3.91's the harrop cover...and BMR air bags also with similar times...Try lowering your tire pressure more and a longer burnout if track conditions are okay those tires should hold

    What pressure are you running in your bags.....?
    Also are your tires Mickeys......If so what pressure are you having luck with...?
    Track conditions were great that day it was actually only 80 here instead of 97.
    But yeah we had a couple of 8 sec. cars out there that were hooking good which is odd for them during the day out here!!!
    We have a bad problem with cooking the track and bringing oil up all the time during day races.Unless there is a good car count of "fast" cars.

    I guess no one else is running into this problem.....

    Any help would be greatful!!!!!

    Might have to fab up a live axle conversion..........

    Well...I spoke with one guy who has a 04 M6....he said he must put 17lbs exactly in his drag bags to kill wheel hop.....I know you said you've tried all types of pressure.....just passing on what the boy said....I know how frustrating it can be....

    I started with 18 went to 20 and then even tried 25psi .
    If I wouldn't of already did the gear swap the "live" axle conversion would look ALOT better!!!!
    I'm going to step the unit down a little and see what happens.....Even though I wanted to step it up with all the other upgrades I just did.

    Thought I would just get this back up top mseeing that there have been a couple of the same topics started lately!!!

    Still havben't came up with a good solution for my issues......
    Which means NO nos out the gate....
