    Axles

OK....see a little seepage around the axle oil seals on the pumpkin. Simple oil seals I know....but what the hell....why not upgrade the stubs/axles while I'm at it. I see on WWW.LS1GTOMANPUSSY.COM there are a few options from sponsors there. Who has experience here?

Yup. Biggest bunch of jerkoffs ever assembled on the internet. Mod Nazi's/parts counter "experts"...dipshits....yup I'm serious. Many good members...many who really know their stuff are overwhelmed by the mod nuttswingers.

I'm looking at these GForce axles....Still looking at stubs.....

I really can't believe you haven't done this upgrade yet with the power level you're at. I have no experience with IRS stuff as all of my rides up 'til the GTO had man axles in them.

There is always BMR. They seem to hold up from what I've read.

I still go over there but it has definitely changed over the years.

Hey Rob...yeah I'll probably go with a BMR stub/05 or 06 stock axle setup. They have more meat on em than the 04's. And Orion many monster GTO's are running stock axle setups. No problems....

As you know Sarge I have BMR stubs, and Half-shafts, Now this is the 3rd rear I have in the car(maybe) the 1st 2 were JUNK IDK, but the BMR's seem to be taking the beating I've been handing out so far, this set-up has been on the car for about a yr now. I like them

Thanks Brad for the feedback....nothing like real world.....I'm done with the GTO as far as any more mods...I started out wanting to build a 10 second street driver that would win a car show good looks and was tame to drive....I did that.....so I wont be adding anymore....I think the BMR stubs and the 05/06 axles is about all we need.....

Sounds like you are considering the new Camaro, or the old lady has other plans.

That is one option.....the other is a full blown altered class dragster...I haven't had one in awhile....

Yea, you can go so far with the Goat. I used to do AA/Fuel in the '70s when we broke into the sixes. But, it required lots of time and total commitment. Things I could not spare at the time. So, I sold everything and got out of racing.

Were you thinking of doing a rat or aftermarket motor? What sort of body would you use?

Interesting. Do you have any sponsors or are you going to try it just for grins?

Well I don't need any sponsors but yes I have a major construction company that wants their name all over the trailer/car.....I've done it before....mid 7's....but these days you better be low 7.4's high 7.3's.....

Cool, and go with the sponsors. It makes racing more exciting when other people get on board with your concept and participate. It much better than winging it yourself.
