    alternator

Hi, newbie here in need of help. I'm in the process of swapping a 2004 GTO engine into my '69 chevy. One of the things that I'd like to do is install a chrome alternator, equivalent to the old one (2 wire, 140+ amps). As viewed from the back the mounting holes on the original are at 2 & 6 with the plug in the 10:30 position. I must have looked at over 1000+ web pages and cannot find any chrome alternator with the mounting holes at 2 & 6! Does anyone know of a source that has one of these?

In a pinch you could CAREFULLY pull the alternator apart and have the casing chrome or polish.

They are design to come apart and serviced.

Jegs also sells "Tuff Stuff Chrome Alternators"

They have a few that might work for you but damn they want a pretty penny.

    Tuff Stuff 7722NA
    Tuff Stuff 7723NA
    Tuff Stuff 8206NA
    Tuff Stuff 8206NC

These are the only that are LS1 specific for Camaro/Firebird I think they should work for your project.

    Thumbs up

Thanks SMWS6TA. The 125/110 amps wouldn't power my accessories and you are right on the money for the others. They will fit if I could only afford them!
