Airbag fault 2006 gto after battery died
Battery died on my gto, when i replaced battery and started the car, i now get an airbag fault upon start up. I read that a voltage spike could trigger the warning. Is there anyway to erase the code without heaving to take it to the dealer?
thanks

Our cars do weird stuff when battery voltage gets low. You can disconnect the battery, wait a bit and then hook it back up again to see if the code clears.

how long did you leave it unhooked? OBD2 pcm's will hold a voltage for quite a while and store the code. Might want to pull the fuse too while the battery is unhooked.

Just for fun, check your fuses and make sure that there are no secondary ground or power wires at or around the battery that may have been left disconnected or that got damaged during the battery swap.
