Black- 06 Chevy Caprice HT (RIP)
325hp and 325ftlb at the wheels on a LS1
Yup,
I am on my way to 350hp and 350ftlb+ at the wheels...All this out of a stock LS1 long block with no cam changes...
Ok ok, I know wee bit lean, but I am waitin on my tuner here...
Now I have a small question...
We all saw the dyna run, she is 15 instead of a safe 13 on the A/F ratio. I noticed at high revs it puffed a light cloud of blue smoke...I didnt ruin my rings have I????I barely put 5000kms on it and I am panicin here...
Please help...Last edited by Naf; 04-04-2007 at 04:58 AM.

I couldn't see you doing damage to the rings already......... Is it lean enough to where the temp jumps up at rpm....... Or get warm after you make a pass??
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

I have noticed when Iin 4th gear and do same gear acceleration I get a SVS light with lean warning on bank 1...
This happens around 3250rpm-3500rpm, that happens around 180-200kph...
I also did some heavy accelerations before hittin the dyna...I was proud of my ride...I was showin off
Could it have been a fluke from when it was revvin down from full RPM?

In your honest opinion, u think I can pull of 350 in Hp and Ftlb with my setup? Obviously with a better tune...
I am runnin a new style stock LS1 Long block with FAST intake, JBA headers, JBA catless mid-pipes, Corsa Exhaust, earth kit, Hypervoltage, and a High flow air intake...
I am concidering swappin the tranny for a manual, which I believe can free up 15-20% more power...

Yes you should be able to pretty easily, seeing that max power is made aroung 12.9. I would say your pretty far of on your current ratio!!!
I'm a clutch man myself..........THERE IS NO SUBSITUTE FOR BANGING GEARS!!!!
