02 sensors

This is a discussion on 02 sensors within the GTO forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; are the front 02 sensors the same connection as the back 02's???...

    I know on the LS2 cars they're different and I believe they're different on the LS1 cars too. The rears are flat connectors and the fronts are square.

    You are correct Orion, the rear have a flat connector and the fronts are square.

    I'm almost positive the front and rear plugs are the same on the ls1

    Sorry mark but you are incorrect. The rear have a flat 4 plug and the fronts are a square 4.

    I had to jack my car up and check......i was wrong, your right the front ones are square....lol not the first time I've been wrong and doubt if it will be the last

    Thats funny that you actually went and looked. I cheated and got on my parts link I use at work and looked at them.

    yup...they were diffrent..but a little splicing made it fit perfect..I changed them this last week and got way better MPG..and my idle was pretty sweet..thanks

    lol yep fronts are small and square and the backs are flat and square,then again most tuners have the back turned off.
    mods: custom built twins, built 408 w/l92 stock GM heads,GM matching intake,drag bags,frame ties,aluminum drive shaft, performabuilt 4l80e,Yank converter,ohios fastest and quickest 04-06 GTO 9.52 at 144mph. 1.50 60ft on stock rear end and shafts/suspension,on drag radials.

    yup, have mine turned off/deleted, just have the plugs tied up by the tranny
