the c6 in every speed category except (if my mind serves me right) 50-70 mph lane change.

and i wont make any rude comments about this being pathetic from a car with a 100 hp advantage getting dusted by .6 liter of a difference in engine size.
i also wont mention the blower churning 8.5 pounds either.....

In acceleration, the GT500 and C6 (non-Z06) Vette are very close. In any other performance category, the C6 will win. This is due virtually entirely to the huge difference in weight (and aerodynamics, if talking about top speed).

I'm not really overly "brand loyal". I prefer Chevrolet and Ford; always have. They both have their pro's and cons and I enjoy reading up on bith while I'm at the Wal*Mart magazine section. I think these things are going to be the next "Terminators". (Despite their obesity problem) I can't remember which Ford magazine it was, but they talked about taking the Super Charger off and putting on a KB. The car makes over 800HP with this mod.

EDIT: Found a link while googeling to find the magazine article:
    http://www.svtperformance.com/forums....php?p=4314290

In another article, it showed them [the car mag people] do a pully swap (much like the terminators), exhaust, and a tune. The car was in the 11's.

I'm just going to wait until the stupid dealer mark-ups go down and their are more on the streets. When more of these things are out drivinig around, it will be the only real way to tell.

For an MSRP of $41,000 (http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/ford...500/index.html) you get a 500 HP car. Add $4,000 - $8,000 for the KB in the link above you get a car with over 800HP that total out of pocket expense equals about $50,000 - $55,000. Remember how about every '03/'04 Cobra swapped in a Whipple or KB? I forsee this being the popular mod for this vehicle.
I mean, $50,000 for an 800+ HP car, what current better value would there be? I think in 1 - 2 years you will see many of these things; especially heavily modded. I think it's a respectable car for the value. Still an obese fat hog though.

yes in theory it is that price for a new gt500 but you'll never see it as long as its being sold by a dealer.

    Look at EBAY. (http://motors.search.ebay.com/ford-g...01QQsamcmZ6001)

Stealerships are already selling them in the $43k now. Ford announced this car IS NOT a limited production vehicle. Initial demand is diminishing. Even my local dealership is selling them for barely over MSRP.

I just looked at the link, not a single one less than mid-upper$50k range, except that "clone"! The dealers here are asking $15k above sticker. Good luck with that!

Ive had some experiences that I would rather not share, but have them told by those that know. For those that know me, my reputation speaks for itself.

    Ok, I'll bite.

    What is your "reputation"?

And you're telling us you have these "experiences", but don't wish to share - is there a point to that?
