The mustang does it on either transmission. The F-body can only do it's 5.2 seconds on a manual.

Am I right or am I right?
eh, 0-60 doesnt mean much at all. a race through two short gears? if your going to look at a short race, look at 1/8th mile trap speeds to compare, which isnt even through 3 gears on most cars.

too much money wasted on getting a termy and im not a fan of any mustang body style from fox body to recent. im not talkin out of chevy vs ford but f bodies are cheaper to pick up and with the money a termy costs thats a decent sized list of mods to spend the same amount. lookin at the cars same in quality at least(ex. same mileage, overall condition, cant say year obviously). i found my z sittin between a mach1 and 02 cobra and i didnt have to pay anything for most of my mods because of blue book pricing and a bit of haggling aswell.
2000 white z28, t-tops, free mods, intake, full exhaust, dyno tune, repro c5 z06 wheels, and some elbow grease here and there.

Oh let's not even go there. If were magazine racing, then lets be 100% accurate. M/T got 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and wen't 13.4@107 in a 2002 Trans-Am WS6 (M6, of course). Other guys like Evan Smith have been able to break 12's in bone-stock LS1's. The new S197's are respectable performers, but not on par with the LS1 cars.

Whew! This thread is like going back in time. I would throw gas on the fire for old time sake, but I'm just too lazy these days.

I don't really think the arguments are about the termy being faster, because it's plain as day to see that it is - but more of a matter of full potential, in which the LS1 reigns.

Not to be a party pooper, but the LS1 takes more to mod up to equal a terminator with less mods. I mean they can get close to +100 hp with just few bolt ons and pully, LS1s need full bolt ons and and heads/cam to do that.

    What exactly is full potential?

umm...like...fully built. In otherwords, assume the LSx had forged internals and a power adder like the Cobra, both cars similarly modified to some sort of an extreme. Now figure in the classic quote that "there is no replacement for displacement", and you get the idea.

Get over the "if or had" The point of the matter is that the cobra has forged internals and a blower and the LS1 doesnt. Thats the way they rolled off the factory floor. What the LS1 has in displacment, the cobra makes up for with a s/c and forged internals.

Ok lets put it this way, there was no way you found your car in the same city or state or even country with a mach1 and 02 cobra...
