My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
ws.666 vs turbo audi A(X)
Had a very kick ass time racing against an Audi. It was a bigger car, but i never could see if it was an A4 or A6. I should have asked him when we were stopped by a traffic jam at the off ramp-he did say it was a turbo 4cyl. It was a big car! Sedan, silver, looked new too. Went like this:
i'm in the left lane, he's in the far right as I pass by @ 80, he aggressively shifts to the middle lane and lines up with me. I'm thinking "OK..." so i drop to 4th and give it about 1/2 throttle and stay with him...wondering what he's up to. Finally he makes the jump, I slam the gas and we play. i pulled farther with each straight away and could keep him at my rear fender through the corners-but i'm still gun shy from my wreck last spring and didnt' go much above 105 through the turns. He hung with me very well.
We lined up again @ 60 and this time I raped him. Droped to big 3rd gear and let the Corsa's scream-poor audi didn't know what hit him. He dropped back 3 lenghts in a few seconds until the curves came and I slowed back to 100 and he flew through them...damn german engineering.
Finally met up with him on the jammed-up off-ramp, he was very cool and we chatted a second-that's where I found out he had a 4cyl turbo and I was like "FUCK!"

Yep on a staight away there nothing but on turns you could have some trouble, and speaking of gas mileage my 1990 new yorker suprised me on gas mileage a 3.3liter v6 and i got 521miles to the tank last tank, 15gallon tank.

What mods are done to his car, must be alot cause those are mid to high 15 second cars, and it takes alot of work to make them 12 second cars. Only problem with 1.8liter turbos is, there limits are set low, you can fully build one of those motors and never hit 600hp.

stock for stock they aint shit... BUT like any turbocharged car, it doesn't take much to make them alot faster. My buddies car is nowhere near stock.. big ass turbo and an intercooler bigger than the rad lol, as well as the fuel system to go along with it. It is a monster though. I have driven slightly modded a4s as well and they feel pretty quick.

All 4 cylinder turbo cars ahve low limits, the most even made out of a stroker evo motor is 600awhp, which is around 750hp, now that is alot but when you comepare it to 3000hp twin turbo v8s it aint shit.

no one said that it might also be a quattro. You can't mess with the handing of these. They run corners like it is on rails.

I have a friend that had his VR6 GTi Turboed... ran 13 flat all day long...with his 300lbs ass driving... with stock internals...all you really saw was a bit of Intercooler from the bumper...other then that... it looked stock... even had a way to turn off the gauges... untill he passed 50% throtel...

Arent those cars front wheel drive, which is useless after 350+fwhp you can even launch front wheel drive cars. I have seen 400+fwhp cars that weigh 2700lbs that cant break out of the 12s because they cant get traction. All in all rwhp is the fastest form of drive train.

yep...very true...he had about 350whp... it was a light car... on street tires ran 13 flat... on the street it was much faster... I never got a chance to race him though... he took the Turbo system off... before I got my car... (he got tired of spending so much money on it)... now the car is all crashed and fucked up...
