I just heard that they discontinued the idea for the new "Chevelle"...DAMN IT!
That's what I was holding out for! Oh well, the Challenger w/ a 6.1 Hemi w/ a 6speed is pretty good. An LS7 Camaro would be freakin sweet. I would throw the idea out to them about possibly a ZL1 Camaro, probably supercharged or something.

I don't think the ESP being on or off would have made much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. I realize every little bit helps, but giving up HP and weight doesn't add up to a win unless a driver mod is in order. Don't get me wrong while the looks aren't big on me now I don't hate the looks either. If one of those things had some weight reduction and/or a S/C, turbo, spray whichever route suits the driver the best; it might even be a good match. But anyone putting a H/C/I/E F-body against a stock SRT-8 is bringing a pocket knife to a gun fight. By the way I am sure as I am posting this someone out there in la-la land is working on their power adder of choice.

Its really just the look, im glad you like it but i cant stand it
Plus only the srt-8 has good performance the rest are even worse looking and weak cars.
If you want a new car and an automatic, along with the specs, only for $40k more.

What about the ls2 GTO with a good driver they have hit 12s and the interior is somewhat luxury. How about the 03 m3s those were nice and 13 second cars.

Excellent choices and I strongly considered them - but I had to have 4 doors. The M3 is pretty awesome.

GTO trunk space is worse than a Vette. Used M5, CTS-V, Evo and STi (but they are stick) could be contenders too.

Best ET 13.3 when I first got it before I knew it's quirks for the dragstrip. Best trap 108mph but my tires were too worn to launch.

This Monday at Sears if I can keep it cool in the staging lanes, I should get my best times ever.
