who should i put $ on??
Ok so over the weekend my friend is gonna take on a 94 Z/28. I just dont know who to bet on. The cars...
Friends Ride- 03 Cobra Coupe: JLT Cold Air Intake, Borla Stingers, Billetflow Pulley, Heat Exchanger, Tune. Its been a while but i think he laid down around 450-60whp on the dyno.
Other kid- 94 Z/28. 383 stroker w/ Procharger. Its an auto and i dont know if its stalled or the lbs of boost hes making. I also dont know anything on his build like what heads cam intake stall etc..
My friend is a good driver, but im kinda worried if this kids gotta stall, gears, shiftkit etc..

Not much, just $50. Not like im betting hundreds and thousands, but hey if i can find a way to be $50 richer ill try to find it LOL. Do u think its a drivers race from a dig or would the Z pull away? Im just as clueless as u guys, kinda wish i knew more about the Z. Maybe ill flip a coin and pick heads/tales and go with w/e turns up. Do u think it wood even the playing fields if the blower was ported and re-tuned?

Depends on how good the Cobra can launch. If it goes past 120 the Z will pull quick.

I would bet on the Z here, just because with a 383 and a procharger, I highly doubt he has the factory stall/gears and heads. Its probably fully built and no joke.

Which one should you put money on? NEITHER. Nothing wrong with trying to make a few bucks, however there's so much that you simply don't know. If you had a good idea of what mods both cars have, it would be much easier to make an educated guess.
If the Procharged 383 is properly stalled, geared with a really good tire (likely requiring rear end upgrades) it should pull a 450 rwhp Cobra. At the end of the day, if the power figures are the same, this could easily be a driver's race.

Pewter- Y2K WS6
to paraphrase Warren Buffett. Only invest in what you know. in his case it's people.. some folks it's racing.... trust me you don't know enough to bet on this race. Lots of factors could screw you in both cases... like the cobra drivers ability, the stall, how well the 383 build up was done.
just watch for fun.

Ya those 383 on a Procharger is NO joke!! 99% of the time if they got the money to go Procharged then they got the money to spend the time tuning and getting all the other goodies. Like said before I would think he is putting down well over 500hp.
