What yall think? 05Stang Vs Ls1?
Some guy gas a 05 A4 stang with 4.10 gears and headers...
To make a long story short im going to race him next monday.
Me = Loudmouth Exhaust and sitting on some 18 inch black wheels that weigh 45lb each w/ Nitto 555's
What should the outcome be?

BTW, the 05s came with a A5 (that shifts pretty well) and 3.3something gears stock. Give him hell.

Well, I was going to say that you should pull on him, but with the 4.10's, It's going to be a drivers race I think

Collectors Edition Yellow- 2002 Pontiac Trans AM WS6
I say ls1 all the way... 4.10s dont mean crap if you cant put it to the pavement and last i looked thoes 245s(if thats what they are) GT tires dont look like they grip much...

It'll be close....does he have LT headers? If I was you i'd so some quick and easy mods before you run...if all you have is a LM exhaust do some intake mods like the fra and a lid. Also make sure your throttle cable is correctly set...mine had a lot of slack at 85k miles and the throttle blade was far from opening all the way at WOT.

I've got a 245/50 16" tire on my car....and it hooks just fine

Should be fairly even IMO. You've NEVER seen a Mustang race an F-Body?!?!

they hook better than the F-body does with a good driver, got a 1.9 '60 on the stock tires and the stock 3.55s last fall in an 05 GT
just be careful....folks lie about what they have...or should I say don't have

Pewter SS- 2001

This is my 2001 SS vs a 2005 Mustang GT. It was bone stock in this video and was driven by the previous owner "Surfnerv". It is now a head/cam car after I bought it.

Teal- 1994 Camaro Z28
i drove an 06 mustang with 5 speed the other day, my 94Z with 340-350 rwhp would kill it easily. i'd race him from a roll, that auto and 4.10s won't be too good from a roll. they do hook up real good for the tiny tires that come on those.

That race between the Camaro SS and the 05 GT went as expected according to the numbers on both cars. These 05's do have tiny tires on them as I have one myself. One thing about the 05's is they respond very well to mods. Ford can't compete with the Ls1 with the tiny 4.6, but I think in the near future, these GT's will have an N/A 5.4 in them. The fun will begin then. That would be a better match for the Lsx's/Ws6's. IMO
