To yalls credit as I have stated earlier already and i'll say it again my car is fast for its mod levels, perhaps faster than average fbody, but it's because it is done right and set up properly, just like any other fbody or vette could be done just the same. Either way it might be safer on yalls side to not be so presumptious about what you think you know.

I say that because 2 of my friends have Z06s and a couple friends have LS1s, 2 of which are cammed. My friend's FULL bolt-on cammed Z28 BARELY edges out my buddies 02 Z06 from a roll which has just catback and K&N. If he didnt have the cam there is no way in hell he would pull it. Just like the other guy said, just doesnt make sense when a car with same if not less power is beating the one thats lighter, more aerodynamic and better geared.

Also, you posting up some videos would definitely help, but just street racing for a while around here, no un-cammed LS1 will touch a stock Z06 from a roll. From the line w/stall, tires, etc, thats a different story, but a roll is Z06 territory.

But that was exactly my point though. The comparison's that were presented seemed a bit far-fetched for bone stock. I've seen stock C5-ZO6's touching the 11's in the quarter mile (that's very common), but this is with extremely good drivers, with very sticky tires....

Bone stock is not meant to include "slicks", because a solid launch, as well as an excellent sixty foot, can mean as much as a half of second to an experienced driver(s). Yes, I believe that Jarrod ran that time that was quoted, but no, I don't believe he was "bone stock"....

    This was my only argument....

As for racing them from a roll, ZO6's are highway monsters. Although they employ pretty much the same engine configuration as F-Body's (or at least, a modded F-Body), it's their gearing, as well as where their body weight is being concentrated on it's frame, in which gives them the advantage....

Look f&ybodlover tried to call the bs flag on me and i'm trying
to explain to you guys that i work on and build these cars for a living at my own shop. I've modified driven and raced the fbodies and vettes hundreds of times and raced in many different scenarios and situations, you guys don't know squat just cause you have a few buddies with a vette or camaro! If your friends camaro can barely outrun a stock c5 z06 with full bolt ons and a cam thats embarrasing, either he must have a bad tune or the wrong cam cause with a cam and bolt on camaro you can go deep 11's and even 10's with the right setup under the car. Not only can I beat zo6's now but I was beating them before my long tube headers and ory and 150 shot. I was already running low 12's on the stock cats and manifolds for your info. I hav'nt even tested my car at track yet with lt's and the juice.
As a matter of fact I just handed a black 02 zo6 its ass on a roll on street tires with my new headers not even a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna get my buddy to bring out his stock z06 to run on video and you guys will see what im' talking about. i've already destroyed him a couple times before, I mean really do you guys think i have the time to make up fake stories about beating zo6's on the internet! i mean really I just tell it how it is but there are always gonna be those haters that were born scared and can't handle the truth! No hard feelings guys i like a good conversation but that one kid tried to call bs on me unjustified. Peace

Exactly! And as far as the roll race is concerned i'll post videos of roll and dig races with zo6, the dig race againsnt my car is a slaughter, launching of the limiter at 6100. Be patient guys cause it will take me a bit to get them posted but they will be there and it will be some sick races and settle this dispute clearly and concisely, so keep heads up and they will be there posted. Peace

yea and all kinds of people cried when i said i was beating stock evo 9's in the quarter from a dig when my car was bone stock on street tires around here even until i repeated my performance and shut the critics up. I would catch them in 3rd gear and blow their doors off. But whole nother story that is, either way same principal people think things can't be done or they know what a race will yield just by bench racing on the computer and assuming they know what they are talking about when in reality they don't.

Those guys are pretty credible over there...I doubt they are all lying about being stock.

But yes those times are above average...but that doesn't mean that the cars themselves aren't capable of running them. An if you go back I put the bs flag on you because of the few mods you listed and it it seems unlikely you would be faster than one with a good driver....not because I thought you were lying.

    Are these all your mods?
    Long tube headers
    off road Y
    catback
    free mods
    lid/K&N
    4.10 gears
    electric water pump
    crank pulley
    150lb weight reduction.
If not please list them for us...I would like to know for my WS6.

btw...thanks for the compliment about my age.

    With the nitrous....yeah. No problem.

Without it, must have been up against some seriously TERRIBLE drivers.
I was getting beat by stock C5Z06's when I was cammed. Some of that was my set-up wasn't drag ready. Did decent on the highway though. Got beat either way.
    I just can't see a bolt-on LS1 F-Body taking down a stock C5Z06 from a roll.
At the track...traction is key. Could be a different story there.
I make 150 more RWHP than my friends exhaust 2002 C5Z06 and I am only about 1.3 seconds faster and 10MPH faster down the strip.

    To take down a C6??
    Roughly....bolt-ons and cam.
You need roughly 375 RWHP to stay even with a decent driver. Per weight.

Thats cool bro i'll try to get vids as soon as I can so people can see what i'm talkin about. Would save a lot of trouble and explaining on here thats for sure! But wow hows the c6 zo6 treating you, those cars seem like they are just nasty right out of the box! I'd have to use my 150 shot for shure against you just to make it a good run!
    Peace guys

fwhp means front wheel hp....just quoting "hp" works..

I see it as flywheel horsepower on a board pertaining to rear wheel drive cars.

Oh with me on the jug it would be a kill for sure, but im talkin all motor. Yea I wonder bout there drivin too but when I won on a roll it was a fair 2nd gear roll with a good 3 honk start and I was already pulling before the 3rd shift, which kinda eliminates the driver error cause I was already pulling in second, now from a dig thats a different story cause my 60 foot is pretty nasty.

Yea shane the owner of rio yamaha down here has a brand new regular c6 with a 6spd and im tryin to coax him into a race on video soon. he said he was down but wanted to know if I was suckering him into racing a totally modded out camaro cause he raced me before in his old c5 when I was stock, but I told him the bolt ons that I had and he said he'd race me all motor so it should be on soon! We will all get a chance to see the results!
