What Does a Roush 427R Run in the 1/4
Just wondering what that new Roush 427R will run in the quarter mile.
I was driving around on Sunday and i'm in the far right lane and in the middle lane one slowly passes by me, it was brand new, couldn't have been more than a week old. We were about to catch the same light both in the front and then he decides to switch over two lanes and turn left. I don't race on the street very often but would have def. like to see what that thing could do.

I dont know what it runs in the 1/4 but it does not have a 427 engine if thats what you are thinking. It is claimed 427hp.

with 407 rwhp and a lighter car i think your good. got any pics of the GN that's one of my favorite cars of all time. I think the roush would be the 4.6 3v running the roush charger which is kinda looks like a whipple knock off. i'd say the roush numbers could be a little inflated with a conservative tune and low boost. definately not the best way to get a good running stang.

I know it has 427 claimed hp not a 427 engine, i was only asking because i can only find 0-60 times no quarter mile times.
I only have pics on film of the gn none on a digital camera, its an 86 but i put the 87 grill on it and thats the only difference between the 86's and 87's that and the door strap on the inside are black not grey. The pre 86 ones didn't have the intercoolers on them and had different interiors.

I found a site where they did there own tests on the car http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/20...%2F&frame=true
Dynoed at 356 RWHP 330 ft./lbs.
Best ET 13.45 at 1600 ft. Corrected-13.2
Not to impressive for a car that costs 45-50k depending on options
