I'd hope you walk plenty of cars on a fairly regular basis running 10.50's. What's done to the evo? Pretty impressive run.

camaro ran a 12.0X. My car is fully built, motor, trans ect... But i chose a rather small turbo(fpred) so its streetable and i want the car to last for some time. It made 600whp/529ft lbs on the dyno. Heres another one

The tranny's have never been the problem. I had it rebuilt but Ive never had an issue with it. The transfer case sux. Im on my 3rd one. The last one lasted probably 30 runs and 7 months. Its top notch t case. It was warrantied and was rebuilt and is fresh now, but it wont be again. The problem with awd is when 1 tires spins differently than the others it puts a ton of strain on tcase. they told me I need a true slick at my power level and it will last longer.

Ive actually contemplated switching to rwd but Im so tired of fooling with it that may be a project down the road. something like turbo 400,ford 9inch rear with adaptor plate for my motor. PITA

just drop in spools and you'll be set... not sure how that would be going around a corner in AWD though...

There are a lot of different ways to get to 600whp in a evo. I chose an expensive more durable way since I hate breaking things. Ive had the car since new back in 04. If you have an ss its probably cheaper to make fast honestly. Like I said before, awd sounds tempting but at this power level s*** breaks. If your truely interested in 1 used be carefull because almost everyone mods them and some people mess with the tunes and boost. They may have done some damage. Take someone with knowledge before you buy.

6-10K at least. I have a guy that i work with thats has a 05 sti that he is doing a complete rebuild with all forged internals and a whole bunch of other stuff and he is already into the build at 6500 and he is only 1/2 way through

STI motors are more than twice the cost to strengthen the block. A buschur racing stage 3 bottom end is 3000 if yours isnt blown. Thats what I run. the guy who tunes my car does alot of sti's too and a good sti longblock is like 10-12k....ewww

    10-12k!?!?

Not sure if an LSX on the verge of 500 cubes is half that much... wow

Agreed, those Evos can be made to be sick machines. Got one running around here that runs mid-low 10s, no idea what's done to it, but it's niiiiiiiice
