Notice the trap speed of the GT500.
If it had a decent driver, the GT500 would have beaten the F-Body badly. But to his defense (kinda)...not exactly easy hooking up 440 RWHP on street tires.

I have seen a couple new cobras run and most people on street tires run 12.5-12.8, there not that fast.

It's funny how out of the few F-body forums I visit, this is the only one i've seen where guys think it's impossible for a stock F-body to go 13-flats. For gosh sakes Evan Smith, who is a long time editor of probably the biggest FORD performance enthusiast magazine "MM&FF" wen't 12.89@108 in a bone-stock 2002 SS. I've personally seen a hardtop WS6 go 13.0@108.0 and a SS vert go 13.19.

You are ignorant. You know what 60fts and traps are for right? The guy driving that was very passive, I bet he launched at idle almost. Try some seat time on the Shelby for the driver, (probably an older guy who doesnt care about times) and watch them be 12.50's or better stock at 115+mph.
