Well I dont know, the 6 speed LS1 can burry the needle can't they? If they have the right gearing.

Those stock 300ZX TT dont really go to 160 they have a governor that restricts them at 158 but still thats damn close. How much can the LS1 6 speed burry the needle at?

But I'll give credit where its due I guess 300ZX VS LT1=Drivers race. Modded though those things can be tough. Always liked them. Before I bought my first car I always said I was going to get one. Then the V8 bug hit me.
It's a pretty old topic but i've ran plenty of 300ZX's in my LT1's especially back in the late 90's. They were really popular @ the local street races, as well as the track. They had just a tad bit more hp than the stock Z28's and T/A's (ram-air's excluded), and with a good driver they were just a tick quicker - on average. Remember I said average, not always.

There is some MAJOR bullshit flying around in here...and I know Wesman is going to say something.

In any case, I am pretty sure the 300zx has got some weak links to it that dont make it the perfect car to mod. Ive always adored them and the TT ones keep their value it seems.
