Tiburons Suck

I have a friend thet has a souped up tiburon that got beat by a stock saturn (well it has an exhaust system), also the tib got smoked by a bone stock explorer

how ironic... i just had a fully riced one try to spank me...

i was driving down chenal and a chick and her friend pulled up next to me in a tib that had full body kit... wheels, wing, ehaust... actually pretty hot that a chick was driving it... and i was just tooling alot untill i heard the humble bee pipes fire up...

sad thing is i was running about 45 or 50 when she she rolled the throttle and i had time to look over at her... grin... shake my head at her and laugh a lil b4 i dropped a few gears and hammered it... after all of that she had gained about 4 inches on me...

lets just say she lost what she had gained shortly after i released the clutch... when i hit 85 i looked int he rear veiw and she was about 20 cars back and when i got on it that car was fading fast... (not saying that she didnt let up after i spanked her ass a lil)

i looked at them b4 getting my monte carlo and i cant understand it... my monte is 200 hp and a big friggin car and it feels way faster then the tib did and it is supposed to have 200 hp and seems to be a much smaller car (may just be a brick)...

what do u guys expect? its not really in the same class as our cars, it actually does well in its own class at least for a hyundai, its supposed to compete with celicas and eclipses not v8 muscle cars, the sad thing is a stock hyundai tiburon gt probably outhandles a stock z28, that is the only thing i dont like about my z28, it handles worse than my first car which was a 2001 chrysler concorde

just telling u how the car feels, i would love it if my car handled better, but the truth is it doesnt, i have been looking to upgrade my shocks and springs but i am in college so its tough to do that, do u have any suggestions for improving my handling without blowing too much money?

My friend has an 01 Tiburon 5-speed, he's got an intake, header, and sort shifter. Doesn't run too bad, it isn't fast by any means (and the quality is piss poor) but its still kind of fun to drive since its really light and handles pretty well.

He raced a '91 Accord 5 speed and a 99 GTI 2.0 5-speed, beat both of them

Not that those are any major accomplishments though lol.

well does anyone know what a stock 2000 z28 will do on a skidpad? all u have to do is take a look at those numbers and u will see how well it handles, i have driven 2 other LS1s besides my car and both of them handled the same way, it just doesnt handle very well stock

I used to have a little Mazda Protege with wide custom rims, it always FELT like it handled better than my Z28 until I looked down at the speedo and realized I'm taking curves at 80mph instead of 60mph; higher speeds feel a whole lot slower in the Camaro for some reason.

Definately a chicks car, my wife has been wanting one for years. Any ideas what kind of # at the strip??? She had a 97 Z24, and test drove a new Tib. and said it was much faster, I told her I doubt it.
