Supercharged...Cavaliar
So my cheap ass is leaving WalMart after picking up a couple presents for my dog's birthday. I see a riced out looking car that looks like it MY SS hood. I knew it couldn't be true because it wouldn't fit but it look very similar. It pissed me off that he put what is pretty much an SS clone hood on his car. I followed him out of the lot and we turned left (opposite direction of my home) because I wanted to see this and check out what this car is. It was completely debadged so I was very curious. When he took off from the light I could tell it wasn't a normal little 4 banger, but it wasn't that fast either. I pull up right behind and I'm thinking, that really looks like a cavalier. So there was pretty heavy and we went about 1 mile down. He went into the left turn lane and I kept going forward but as I passed him as he was stopped at the lights, turning left, I did something very ricer like. I gave him a huge rev as I passed him. Right as I did that I look in my rear view mirror and he pulls out of the turn lane and comes after me. I knew he had to have something under the hood to have the balls to come after me, probably a turbo or supercharger. He gets side by side and paces me. Then I hear him get on it a little and I hear the whine, I knew it was on. We roll from about 50, 3 honks and GO! From 50-100 I had about 5-6 lengths on him. We stop at the lgiht and he tells me it's a cavalier with a supercharger!

A stock LS1 would've probably had him beat. A Z/24 w/ a blower and some bolt ons probably runs the same as a stock Cobalt SS. ...Sad.

I doubt a 2.4L with a blower is as fast as a cobalt. I've been in a supercharged Z24, not that impressive. The guy spent something insane like $8,000 to supercharge it, 2 years later he sold the car.
No wonder people turbo honduh's, cheap cars, cheap mods.

The hood was probably RKsport's SS hood for the cavalier that are actually functional. They were the only ones that i could find that made decent hoods for cavaliers when i had one then i realized real muscle was better then economy car.

98 Camaro Black- 03 Cavy S/C Blue
What color was the car? If it was black its a friend of mines car, its a 2.4 with the supercharger and its an auto, he runs 15.4 at the track, I pull around 6-7 cars on him in my car, maybe we should run sometime, it would be a good race.

Blue- 99 Z28
Haha, my wife has an '05 Cavalier. It was mine, I had some bolt-on's on it, and had bought a turbo kit for it. ...Then I found my Z28, bought it, sold the turbo kit, and gave the Cavalier to my wife. I know people with the GM superchargers on their Cavaliers and are running low 14's.

98 Camaro Black- 03 Cavy S/C Blue
Im just over 300whp, but the car doesn't weigh that much so it moves pretty good, it surprises alot of camaros and vettes, but its not as fast as i want to go thats why i bought the camaro and am going to put the 6.0 i got in it. I live in Woodbury, where do you live? Im sure im still going to get beat looking at your mods, but what the heck what the fun of not trying, lol

Yeah that seems like a pretty quick car, especially since it weighs several hundred pounds lighter. I think it would still be a pretty good race. I would probably have a passenger which would ass some more weight too. My car moves pretty quickly but it's not quite where I want it to be, just dont have the money to put in it right now with Xmas coming. It would be fun to try and run them, thing is it's pretty damn cold out and I shouldn't be driving my car much longer, the snow will fall soon, I think...
That camaro is going to haul some ass with the 6.0.
