Cobras were "loaded" from the factory. In 2004, the only options were chrome-finish wheels, no-charge rear spoiler delete, and limited-edition Mystichrome Appearance Package. In other words, unless it was one of the 1000 or so Mystichrome cars, they all had an MSRP within $695 of each other, which was right around $34k. When I get home at the end of this week, I'll post my old window sticker. Anybody that wants can do some simple math off of that (simple math...not the ricer variety).

Vert's stickered in the $38k range. If they were Mystichrome verts, the were in the low $40k range.

Dipisson....you are a funny man. Errr, boy.

I would just forget about the whole thing bud. It's not really worth the argument. Plus, to some money isn't the object anyway.

wasn't that what they were generally turning, around 300 at the wheels? like anywhere from 280 to 310.

this clearly shows you dont have a clue
anyone that goes back and reads can tell that you were really thinking that the ls1 only had 315 hp

oh and on a little earlier post you stated that the cheapest termi was 35,000

sorry but the base price of a 2000 z28 was a lil bit under 22k. i know this is real late in the thread but my msrp on the registration show 21xxx as the price. that would be before taxes and fees of other sorts which would be close to about 24-25k. so sticker would have been 21xxx because they dont show out the door prices in all of the dealers that i have been to. i dont know know if ur math showed sticker or out the door but i pulled out the calculator and 22k/315=69.84 NEW. and i didnt pay anywhere near 20k so what i payed for my horses was 12k/306rwhp(not stock)=39.22. i like that price per horse on my car lol. but back to business the blue book rating price to horse is 13k/315=41.75. the cobra stated above at 34k/390=87.17 NEW and a 04 cobra from the dealer in my area at 48k miles according to blue book is 67.26 per horse. i figured 12k a year on usage for both cars

    2000 Z28

so im currently seeing dpinson's side as $/horse based on a stated new cobra price and my z28's base msrp price, with both at rated hp which im im the process of double checking right now for cobra. rated horsepowers are what i originally calculated according to 3 random google sites for specs on each car. i also found the trans am equal to z28 in specs and ws6 equal to ss in specs so u are laughin at a car that has 10hp less than ur rating and a trans am is much more expensive than a z28. the trans am was 28k retail msrp and the ws6 was 32k retail msrp. and last but not least the ss package on a z28 was $4k making a grand total of $26k for the ss package added to my car's original base price. that is low end base prices for all afforementioned cars. previous post shows above stated price and rated hp for 04 cobra.
