Srt8 challenger
out riding around this morning and an old man in a new(dealer liscense still on) orange challenger flips a bitch and chases me down
we went from a roll at about 45 and he left way early, i told him 3 honks but he went on the 1st and immediately had a few cars on me, but i ran him down and was at his bumper by time we shut down
this was without the bottle due to the fact i ran out yesterday adjusting and checking my shift points with my new hp tuner
old man was cool though let me check it out,he was pretty funny, hardcore chevy guy
every sports car that passed he would say i wish chevy had made that and put a smallblock in it

Damn, sounds like you have one hell of a car. Whats the numbers on your car?
These cars arnt really a threat to a modded TA/Camaro are they? I know they have 425 HP but they weigh alot. Too bad you didnt actually get a race out of the old man.
Whats your car run in the 1/4?370 CI - Twin 6766 Turbo - Jakes stage 5 4L80E - MWC 9" - Holley Dominator
Build in progress...

Reason I ask is someguy with a SRT8 Charger at my work told me I better watch out for the challenger. I dont see how a heavy ass car could hang with a modded LS1. I think my car would walk one easily. Right?

no they are no threat to a modified ls1,my car runs like crap on motor because of the n20 cam and stall and i run around on my nitrous tune so i lose alot of power on motor
i would say a stock six speed would walk away
i dont know about1/4 yet but 1/8 i do 7.2's and that is in a bad climate for drag racing i can go 3-6 hours drive and run a half a second faster or more
with my mph and i know my car screams up top i should be somewhere between a 10.9 and a 11.2 in the 1/4 mile here and faster at sea level of course

good race! i have yet had the pleasure to run any srt-8. the challenger runs low 13's i think. it'd be a good race for slightly modded to stock ls1 f-body i bet

Oh they look great IMO.
I know one wont hang with me with my mods. Was wondering a mildly modded LS1 really.
They weigh what 4000+ LB's?

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
I saw one at a car show recently.
The guy was trying to sell it because he was not impressed. The car seriously looks like a boat in person, and while he admitted that it was nice, he said it was just a low 13-high 12 luxury car. When he dropped almost $50k for a car with the Challenger name and 425hp he was expecting the king of the road.
So he told me he wanted about $47k for it, and was going to pre-order a new Camaro as soon as he got rid of it. Hopes Chevy gets it right.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
bad ass! and he came for you...that's the funny part. Typically new performance car owners won't race.

I wont buy one more than likely. I hate this shit. They TRY to make up for it with more stock HP, but it just aint cutting it.
Too bad really.

I really think Dodge missed the mark with the Challenger; Chevy will miss the mark with the Camaro. They are both WAY too heavy.
