srt-4 kill
2 of my good friends both have 04 srt-4s. they always race eachother and there cars are exactly the same, except one is red and one is black, but the black one has a moon roof. anyways, the red one always beats the black one, everytime. ive told them both i wanted to race my A4 99z against them but they just kept talkin smack. well the owner of the black one starts pouring money into it and puts on a new downpipe with no cat, full exhaust, agp wastegate, sticky tires and stage 2 computer and sensors. well now the black one wastes the red one everytime. well one day while cruisin down the freeway i run into the black one.... deciding to do some 40 drops he pulled on me about1.5 cars until i hit third, then i just blew past him. from a 60 drop, he pulled even less and i blew past him time after time.
Still wanting to race the stock red one, me and the black one headed over to the red owners house and razzed him until he caved. knowing he didnt stand a chance from a 40or 60 drop his terms were to do a 1mile race from a stand still.......i was over a 140 when i crossed the finish and when i looked in my rear view he was prolly almost a 1/4 mile behind me.
as for who got the better jump on the line, i made on chirp and was gone, i dont know what happened to him.

a M6 would have beat the black one easier on the highway, becaue they dyno higher (less drivetrain loss) and better gear selection

what rpm's were you at when you raced him, at 60 i would have put my M6 into 4th and been around 3.5-4 k rpm's and thats when you reallly start pulling

my car is an automatic, and at a 40 roll i was just in "Drive" cruisin bout 1400 rpms, my car has 2.73 gearing. but yea once i got up into the higher rpms i really pulled on him bad. I wish i had an M6, that would decimate

Good kill. They don't do real well from a standstill (unless the guy really knows how to launch). I've run two 04 SRT-4s (both were modded). One of them told me he was putting down 290fwhp and thats why I only put about a length on him (he was complaining of a boost leak as well). The 05 SRT-4 Stage2 I raced at the track I beat by half a second in the quarter mile (at least until he started pumping race gas and turning up the boost on it) - lol
You must have that car runnin' pretty good to have him so far behind you in a standing mile. I mean stock those things are supposed to hit 140 or 145 top end...
