Slowest race ever!!!

Well a coworker and i got bored. We decieded to have a race. The bet was for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. The race started in the work parking lot and it was 1 lap around the building out to the stop sign and back. Roughtly about 3/4 of a mile.

Now for the speedy vehicles

ME: 1997 ford ranger 2.3L (manaul)

HIM: 1996 Chevy cavilier (auto)

I beat him off the line but after that we were neck and neck the whole way. It had to be funny as shit to watch from the outside. I was told i beat him by about 2 inches. We ended up calling it a draw.

Just figured everyone would get a kick out of it.

Slowest race I've ever been involved in was way back in the day my buddy had an HF CRX that he bought to swap. For those of you who don't know an CRX HF has 62 horsepower. His buddy also had a Civic CX hatch which he bought for the same purpose, to swap the engine. That also came to 62 horsepower.

Both started from a stop, took about 20 seconds to get to 60mph, once we hit about 70mph the cars couldn't accelerate anymore. They just made engine noise and stayed at 70mph. Hilarious.

On a brighter note, both these cars went on to run into the 11s in the later years.

Actually some Volvo 240s come turbocharged. Those are sweet. RWD grandma cars and or wagons, you can surprise a lot of people in those cars...

haha good job on findaing a way to have a blast! me and my friends do crap like that all the time, ive got a 1997 f-150 tht i do the same crap with. it is a v-8 tho, but slow

that is just impressive, that just became #1 on the list to do when i get bored. I've seen it done to riding lawn mowers, me and my buddy turned a weed wacker into a beast of a blender that chopped whole oranges before you could blink, but an 11 sec car for no cost who ever is in the next lane would just be furious, oh yeah!

i killed a friends 1993 sho with a 70 shot with a 1985 buick skyhawk t-type ( 4cyl turbo) rust bucket at 15 psi... and with the same car 6er mustang with a cocky dude and his gf... makes an awsome sleeper horribly ugly car...
