Should I feel bad?

My friend thinks Mustangs were made by god himself. I think he worships the ground his mustang drips oil on. But he does not know the first thing about cars, only what his semi-knowledgable pony buddies have told him. Anyway he was popping his mouth off that a Mustang could beat anything GM has on the road yada yada. I kind of smirked and began to walk away laughing and he took it all personal and start going off about how his SIX CYLINDER 99 mustang could dust my 96 Formula's LT1's ass. Then he called me out to a race in front of maybe 10-14 people. I, after finding out he was serious, accepted.

His girlfriend, who I am good friends with, was there and I didnt want to embrass him in front of her but I had just been called out. We lined up on the road in front of his house and agreed to race to this marker about 1/3rd of a mile down the road. I won by like 4 or 5 cars. After thinking this whole waste of my time was over he say because he has regular tires and I have Hankook ultra high performance tires, I should give him another race and 3 cars or seconds. I wanted to say havent you learned anything but then he calls me out AGAIN. I give in. I give him 3 cars and I still beat him by like 2.

He gets out of his car AGAIN and starts to talk shit but then everybody in the crowd tells him to shut up and laughs at him. He then tells me Im a bitch and goes inside his house. His girlfirend later calls me and tells me shes sad because he is so bummed out. I now feel bad. Should I?

A) It wasnt a straight shot. It had 2 turns.
B) It was a residental neighborhood. I didnt need to go faster then that and risk hitting somebody. It was already a bad risk for anything I would gain from beating this stang. I was on about 45-60% throttle the entire time.

Yeah, you'll def. make him look even more stupid at the track. If thats what you really want. But if he pissed me off like that too, then it would be first blood as far as im concerned and I would take him to the track, kill his car, and hopefully it would shut him up.

Let me ask you this, if he won, you think he'd wonder if he should feel bad about it? He'll live and learn. A V6 Stang, pffff... He might as well join up w/ the Civic forums, maybe he can get away w/ talking smack to them.
