short kill story
Well...this has truly been a long time in coming. I just bought a 408, VJ intake, Kooks 1 7/8 headers, NX direct port fogger system and am planning on getting Baer roters and sell my draglites for prostars.
It killed my wallet....

Cool. That's a seriously high rpm motor. Should make a ton of power from 6000 rpm and up.
Are you gonna use a spool?
Good luck to you.

thanks, no spool at this point. i thought it might have been ready to go todaty but they are waiting on a couple fuel line brackets and need to fab the exhaust as well. oh well what's one more week

What are you using for the 33 spline axles? Eaton? Auburn? That's a whole lot of power for a clutch-type differential.

Eaton is who makes the clutch style posi that accepts 33 spline axles. They are setup pretty tight but you can even set them up tighter with different clutch materials, shims and springs.
I have installed a couple of them in high HP applications, they work just fine.
I have a 30 spline moroso unit in my chevelle, been in there for almost 20 years now without even touching it, 638 hp and 4,108 lbs. worth of car,,,,and it never skips a beat.
Sounds like a killer setup man,,,you are going to have some serious fun with that. Larry.

Thanks guys, 4tun we'll have fun this summer. You going to the spring cruise in OC?
Hopefully the 12 bolt will hold. It's the SPEC that i'm worried about first. If that goes I'm putting a Textralia in so I can be done with it.

if you dont mind, how much $$$$ did it take to get that suff. that is one sweet ass setup. how much hp will you have on and off the juice?

The motor was close to $9,000. Everything to date is $14,xxx and some change. That includes the motor, nitrous, labor, etc. I already had the stuff in the back up mods list, miscilanious stuff and the wheels/tires.
Previously the car was a H/C combo that put down 463/402 on a mustang dyno with GTP stage 2+ heads and a T Rex cam. The heads slam and I'm trying to sell them for $1000/buyer pays shipping if anyone is interested.
