Actually it was a shit run for my mods. Just though it was funny to see a 12.7 with that kind of horse power. You would kill me from a roll

Have to agree Trick, definitely more left in your car! All that torque a bit overwhelming???

My cousin had a 600 WHP Cobra with a KB SC and could only run low 12's. He spent too much on the blower to afford a solid axle and some slicks.

Takes more than big power to run quick E.T.'s! I wen't 12.2@109 in a full-bolt-on only '93 T/A with lots of weight reduction, suspension and driveline. There were guys with twice the power that couldn't even do that.

By the way the bolt-on record for LT1 is 11.80 by Shon Herron.

OMG! Did you say Sac Raceway on Wednesday night? That track sucks on wednesdays. No prepping whatsoever. I only go on Test-N-Tune night. Cost more, but definitely worth it!

Yeah, definitely more in that car!

I have mad respect for Cobra's and heavily modded GT's, but come on Ford guys. You know that when it comes to the ENGINE, BARE ENGINE, Chevy is better. Especially with the LS engines...better horsepower, better gas mileage, and better reaction to modification. If GM wasn't a bunch of tight-a$$es and gave us a stock supercharger, you would be spending a LOT more money trying to beat us(not that you don't already). Not trying to start anything, just stating fact.

yup. and they dont allow slicks on wednesdays so cars lay out sticky rubber out there to help, not to mention the people that drive right through the water box and line up with dripping tires.

but they dont do any inspections on wednesday nights. Otherwise i would need a roll bar. They do thorough inspections on sats?

ya, but the name of the game is not who gets to the finish line the cheapest. its who gets to the finish line first. you shouldnt be so worried what the Ford guy did to stomp you, you should be thinking of what you need to do now to keep up. While your gloating about what GM has giving you stock as a "bare engine", there are other people out there in all sorts of makes and models passing you and lapping you. your heads in the clouds.

To be totally honest with you I don't even really go to the track. I don't like breaking parts (yeah I know, i'm a wussie! ). I've wen't only twice with this car. The first time I was limited to mid 11-second passes due to torque converter issues. Got the new converter in and wen't back two weeks later. This was in mid Feburary. Have no plans to go back in the near future.

True that, it could be debated all day. Damn, if I had the money, I'd have my SS, a Termi, and a Challenger sitting in my driveway, I'm not picky. It just so happened that my SS had the best price tag for the horses.

gm has always been known for cheap hp.
