Raced 1 of the new hemi-chargers
Not sure if it was a kill ?
I was waiting at a red light and a new hemi- charger pulled up beside me. Had to be an 2006/2007 It was solid black and had a hemi/charger emblem on the front fender. It was early in the morning and I was headed home going slow not looking for any races. I just glanced over at the charger 2 people in it and they didnt rev their motor or anything. Red light turned green and they took off very fast ! I thought I no you dont mr hemi so i proceed to catch up. I was keeping it around 75 hoping a red light would catch them because they were way ahead of me. Came up on a red light and was hoping to start from a dig. About the time I catch up the light turns green. I get beside the charger and make my move to pass. We both nail it and its on. I check my mirror a few times to see where the charger is and he gets within a couple car lenghts from me and i glance down at my mph and its shows 132. I am coming up on some slight curves in the highway so it time to shut it down. The charger never tried to pull out and pass. I dont know if he couldnt pass so he didnt try. I dont know how fast they are so I want say it was a kill. When I slowed down he did a fly by didnt see him again. Anybody know how fast they are ? My 01 SS is stock , only a k&n filter
After some posts and research...... I mark it down as a KILL...if he would have had the power to pass he would have, plenty room no trafficLast edited by Speedy_Gonzales; 02-11-2007 at 08:04 PM.

they are about 350 i think, they are slow because they are so heavy, you can let him get a jump start and still whoop that ass.

The SRT-8 Charger will get ya.
The Hemi Charger won't. But they aren't that slow.
As mentioned...the weight slows them up pretty good.

Stock vs. Stock its an easy kill. They are heavy, but they are full of potential. With a simple camshaft swap the 5.7 can come alive, to the tune of around 500 hp!
The SRT-8 stock will eat you up, with some mild mods will scare you. I rode in an SRT-8 300C yesterday and that thing performed like no other. Stoped on a dime and gave you 9 cents change! Both great cars, but heavy.

yea man I'll break you out and we can pull a gone n 60 seconds stunt and steal your car out of the impound too hahaha
I actually would love to just once be in a police chase (either or chasing or being chased) I'd most likely rather being chased so I can lose them. Its just too expensive to me. It would cost me many many many MANY things I did see on tv once they had a set up in this space and they had like 2 or 3 stunt drivers and quite a few cops and they wanted to see if the stunt men could get away. I think I had to work but I wish I was in that.
