It's official, General Motors announced Wednesday that it's shutting down the hummer SUV brand, and clearing out its inventory.
The vehicle's future had been uncertain in recent months. GM announced last year that it was letting hummer go as part of a restructuring plan.
Then in February, the planned sale of hummer to a Chinese company fell through. It's unclear if the decision will affect AM General, no Hummer has been built at its Mishawaka plant in a year.
GM sold fewer than 300 Hummers last month, so if you're in the market for a Hummer you could score a deal.
According to cnnmoney.com buyers can get $6000 on 2009 Hummer H2 or H3 SUVs. People with good credit can also get zero percent financing for six years on all Hummer models.
