Mach 1
i raced a mach 1 tonight.. i had a crappy launch and i bogd it and then my trans wouldnt go into 3rd so i was screw and got killed by the mach 1...after the race my trans wasnt letting me in reverse so i could go back and then it wasnt letting me in any gears. my trans only seems to do this when hot and getting beat on a little bit, its pissing me off but i was pissed i lost to the stang owell shit happens i guess i just hope i dont have to replace anything

What are your mods, if both are stock i say the advantage went to the mach. 01 and 02 fbodies are a bit different though.

I had one, with a good driver they can keep up or beat pretty much any stock car out there.

Grey- 2003 Mach 1
The '03's are factory-rated @ 300 (crank) hp & 320 (crank) torque. '04's were rated @ 310 (crank) hp & 320 (crank) torque.
Many dyno's of stock '03's & '04's indicate that they were both underrated though,
with rwhp being in the 275 - 290 range and 300 - 310 rwtq.
Mine dynoed 282 rwhp/305 rwtq for example.
Accounting for 15% driveline loss, that's ~ 325 - 340 (crank) hp & 353 - 365 (crank) torque.

Yeah i wonder why ford started underratting the 4valve cars, insurance? Its cool with me though, imo the mach 1 is the way to go. already got the solid rear, all you need is a little stronger bottom end and some boost or spray and you got a cobra killer.
