    Talking m3 vs me

Although I no longer have a trans am I figured everyone would enjoy a kill story. Anyways, I was cruising down the interstate in my st2 s4 last week when a bright blue e46 m3 drove by going about approx 95mph. I was cruising at about 85 and he just walked by me. So i pulled up behind him and he slowed to 55 so of course i pulled in the passing lane and hovered at 55 with him. I dropped into 3rd gear revving at about 3500rpm. He gave the 3 honks and jumped a half car on me until i built boost and just started to creep by him. I pulled about a 1-2 lengths on him and shut down at 130 mph. We then both slowed to 75 and he gave me a honk and thumbs up. He pulled of the next exit about a mile away. Wish i would got to race him again. He seemed to be probably high 20's but i couldn't tell due to some window tint but all in all it was good and fun race.

What's done to your S4? Still stock twins?

E46 M3s are mid to low 13s cars, depending on driver skill. If you pulled him on a roll, you're car is trapping close to or above 110mph. Not bad.

    The e46 m3 only traps 102-105mph

I got the a.w.e./giac x software for 93 octane which puts my car at around 310-320 hp and 355-370tq.(crank) I also have a 3 inch milltek catback exhaust and darintake. Little things that dont count much: A full 12 pc silicone hose kit. Upgraded diverter valves (bosch 710n's). So i dont have any boost leaks. Looking to get downpipes next week and looking to dyno her just so i know how much she has for sure. Yes, i still am running my stock k03's. at 18psi

I figure your car can do better than that. If you can get the launch down, you're going to put out some decent times. Seriously, you should be 13s stock.

It is hard to get a 200whp 3600lbs car into the 13s, even if it is AWD. And trapping 110mph with 310 crank hp(stage 2) aka 250ishwhp 3600lbs car is damn near impossible. Hell my subie put down just over 240whp with the dp and tune and it only weighs 3300lbs and i only trap 100-102mph(mine is auto though). I think your giving the s4 a little too much credit.

I missed the part where he said (crank) horsepower. My post was based on wheel horsepower. My bad.
