LS1's are slow
Sorry for the lame title, I love the LS1.
I had to post this for a laugh, my 86 Corolla SR5
It is suposed to come with 72 hp at the crank when new... well 140K miles later and RWD... this is what I got.
Max Speed:110MPH
0-60:13.4 seconds
0-100:3 Minutes 23.6 seconds

wow, that sucks. Actually, I guess I never really thought about how much HP one of those should have but if I had to guess I wouldn't have guessed that low. I would've been in the low hundreds, like 120HP or something.

I bet the fuel economy is pretty chitty too for only making 49HP.
Give that poor thing a tune up, it looks like its starving for air

Wow, that really sucks. Wonder what an old Berlinetta, or whatever it was, Camaro would put down on the dyno. You guys remember those right, one of the ugliest camaro's ever made? Think it had a V6 or something. Made in the early-mid eighties. I bet it would put down some whopping numbers after being shitty to begin with, then with 20 years put on it.

BLACK- 2000 Camaro SS
I remember those. They had 'em back in '79. 4 Camaro models: Base, Rally Sport, Berlinetta, Z28. Base engine was a 6, but you could get a 305 or 350 in any of them except the Z28, which was 350 only. 350 was rated at 170hp for all except the Z28 which was rated at 175hp.

Ahh, the big HP early 80's.
The top of the line Mustang was an inline turbo 4 cylinder!

BLACK- 2000 Camaro SS
I also remember one of the car rags, can't remember which, doing a road test of the '79 Z28, TransAm, some AMC car (AMX or something like that), and 1 other car I can't remember. For the Z, their 0-60 time was 10.4 sec. and a 1/4 mi. time of 16.4 sec @ 84 mph.
