I bought my WS-6 for $17,250 as it sits with the exception of the intake. It has just over 50,000 miles. Of course it came with just a FEW goodies.

Got mine for $6500 with 66,000 miles. "99 Z28 M6 w/Flowmaster at the time of the sale. Needed a headliner ($170) and the clear coat was coming off.

The reason was the salvaged title. The car was "totalled" in 2000, and rebuilt. I was able to take it to a mechanic friend of mine prior to buying it and got a thumbs up. I took a little chance, but now about a year later I can say it paid off. The car has a few squeaks, but otherwise, no complaints!!!

Kudos to the original poster here. It's great to see someone post a believable thread. Too many embellish to the max.

Sounds like your Jetta will jet pretty good.

    Thumbs up

so back to the main subject LS1 > 1.8 T, but you boost enough on the 1.8 and depending on the mods on ls1 it could be a good challange.

1.8T's are horrible. Most modded GTI's I come across just dissappoint me.

I was convinced to come back here to explain.

I wish you guys would just be civil, but I'm guessing that is too much to ask for...

Anyway, this is the write-up for the stock turbo. You're getting the insight on how easy it is for me to get 260 whp/ 320lb-ft on a stock turbo.

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2901711

If you know anything about rally cars, which is what I modeled my car after, than you'll know that when I claim a hp # of 200 whp, I'm probably pushing a torque of 230+ or more.

THIS amount of torque, plus the fact that I'm NOT a GLI, is why I can keep up. I'm 3000 with me inside. Light, considering. (5-speed, no sunroof, no bodykit, no leather, bare bones...)

Plus, I have a very light weight unsprung mass. So, I don't really know what turbo lag is.

It was adressed to me that I blew you off. I didn't. I told you that it was snub nose, manual tranny, Ls1. I know it was an LS1 because of the 5.7 badge on it. Call me crazy...but that seems a good indication.

For those who can't think of anything better to do than call names, YOU are representing this forum. I see that you have warnings against you, so that tells me a lot.

My next project will be a Vortech S/C 6.0 Silverado, but I won't be sharing that with you gents. Too sour a taste in my mouth...

theres no 5.7 badges on ls1 camaros from the factory bud.....the lt1 is ALSO a 5.7 liter...there was ALSO 5.7 liter camaros made in the early 90s, late 80s and those DID say 5.7 on them and i could easily belive u would keep up with one of those.....think most on here are harsh to u cuz uve done NO research what so ever about our cars and dont even know what u raced...how do u know it was an ls1??? i have yet to see an ls1 that says 5.7 on it

3000 lbs 200 horse and 230 ftlbs of tq ( all wheel hp) is enough for u to keep up with 300 horse, 310 ftlbs ( more tq than u) and 3400 lbs??? hummm my rsx-s was 2600lbs 185 wheel hp ( intake, hondata) and NO WHERE NEAR as fast as a stock ls1 fbody....i wouldnt even race one when i owned it as my previous car was a 99z28 6 speed...dunno man your numbers just dont add up.......if YOUR car was pushing 260 horse like the one in the link u sent me which by the way is the HIGHEST dynoing 1.8t EVER on the stock turbo then i would believe u kept up with a STOCK ls1......260 horse vs 300 horse and a 400 lb difference sounds prettty even

Oh Gawd. My engine doesn't say 1.8T on it. Are you gonna call me on that one too? Maybe I'm running a 2.0 liter? Who knows? It's a big mystery.

I know because I have no reason to believe that a man I served with in Kuwait has little to no reason to lie to me?

The next time I bother racing a stock LS1, I'll be in the 300 whp range, and all this argument will be a moot point. I'll be sure to video that one. You'll definately hear about that one.

BASCIALLY, all stock. Why am I not surprised?

I guess this was fabricated too?

because VERY few guys keep there fbodys stock........u CLAIMED to see 5.7 badged on the car and im calling u on it because 98-02 fbodys ( ls1's) dont say 5.7 ANYWHERE ....so it sounds like u have no clue what your talking about......sounds like u raced an 87 iroc because THOSE my friend were badged 5.7 on the side.
