lpe 383 camaro vs c5z06
so im on my way home from the local titty bar getting on to the expressway and a shiney yellow z06 just happens to be getting on 2 cars behind me ..heart is beating hard already....i look and notice its a young guy and his girl ( YES!!) ..hes weavin in and out of traffic to catch up to me...gets up next to me ..in traffic still......i look over and notice the wheels arnt stock and neither is the exhaust..all i could notice....sounded and looked bad ass though.....few miles up the rd we finially get a clearing.....3rd gear...70mph....both our sweet spots.......we jump on it at the same time and i hear his car roaring and im thinking oh shit ....but out of the corner of my eye i see him slowly fallng back ......this continued all the way thru 3rd..he was prolly about 1.5-2 cars back at the top of 3rd...110mph then i see him fade back quickly.......think he knew he was beat.......i throw him a thumbs up in passing.....he didnt want another shot as we had a few further down the rd.....could tell him and his girl were laughing as they were prolly shocked he just got beat by what looks like a mostly stock z28....good times ..sry for any grammer errors as its 6am.just got to work..and im dead tired but i juust had to share as its my FIRST z06 kill.i was so exicted

Nice kill! I haven't run up against a Z06 yet....I'm going to finish up on the heads and cam before I get brave enough to give it a shot! Hopefully heads, a cam and drag radials (to compliment all of the other bolt ons) will give me a respectable run against a Z06!
2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.
1989 Corvette L98, A4, Full bolt ons, etc.

u shouldnt have ANY trouble at all vs a near stock one with those mods.....im only putting down 395 rwhp 399 rwtq according to lpe's dyno sheet i have.....car still has stock exhaust manifolds though..with a nice set of kooks i should be around 430 im expecting......saving my money.maybe next yr.....workin on the suspension this yr...i have my front konis and strano springs sittin at home....the rear konis and an adj umi pan hard rod are already on....have to make an apt with newera performance for the front...think its out of my leauge..friend was supposed to do it but i think he bailed on me............oh and ty ty ty ..when i bought the car thats all i could think about was runnin down a z06..figured i would have one by a lil bit......puts me in the high 11s range with traction and a good driver..LOL.....last trip to the track was a disaster......my clutch was not happy

Nice kill, man! Yeah, I'm with the other guys, I can't even get any Vette to race me, let alone a Z06! As a matter of fact, I can't get any other vehicle to race me unless they're driving another Z28!!! What is up with that?

Well a c6 z06 makes like 470rwhp and is lighter than you so you might have some more work to do first.

I don't expect to win, just have fun! And its seriously closer to 450, I've never seen a stock one dyno over 460.

Lucky bastard. Good kill.
I threw one a rev on the highway once, and got no reaction whatsoever.

Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
The vette owners that give no reaction are scared to race/lose...
Lucky you got to race one, good kill.
