Killed an SRT-6
So, I'm at a stop light in downtown Branson with my windows up and stereo pumping out those sweet 80's tunes I love, when I faintly hear what I initially think to be someone starting a weed eater. Lo and behold, I look beside me and there's this guy with his 10 year old boy in this Chrysler jelly bean. Well, the kid is staring me down (I'm in the right-hand lane) and finally gives me the "let's race" wave. The light turns green and.......nothing...No high-revs, no squalling tires. Nothing. The kid was messing with me! He was messing with me until we got to 30, however, I wasn't privy to this and daddy tried to run off and leave me AFTER his kid hyped up a full-on stoplight drag! Dad gooses it and I play 2-second catch up and blow his doors off like I was racing a stock Civic. I look over as I'm passing and dad is trying to down shift to compensate for his failed sneak attack. I win with about three cars lengths on him and at the next stop light daddy just concedes defeat and waves me on.

Thanks. And I recognize the "daddy" thing sounds stupid, that's why I implied it so many times. Not once have I ever raced any vehicle that was occupied by a father/child combo, so it struck me a tad weird, too. But thanks for keeping me on the up and up with what's e-cool.

It's really dumb to race with a kid in the car.

On paper a Crossfire looks good. Don't think I've ever seen an SRT6 on the road but they are pretty cool for what they are.

What mods do you have you done to your WS6?
I own both a 2001 WS6 and an SRT-6 as a daily driver and I ran a 13.2 at 107.8 in my LS1 with a lid and a cutout and 13.3 at 108 in my SRT-6. So it should be a good match up. I've never actually raced another LS1 in my SRT-6 but I did edge out an E46 M3. (1/2 car length)
The main problem with the SRT-6 is that the throttle response & tranny sucks and with no manual offered. If the SRT-6 had better throttle response and tranny it would easily run mid to high 12's.

The car came to me with a few things I can see, but internally I'm not sure what's been done to it. Check my sig. I also have a lid and a shift kit. I wish I could get a hold of the guy that did the mods, because I'm cooking my buddy's M6 Z 0-60 every time we go at it.
