Just killed a vert Viper!
Just got through washing my baby, then I headed out for the ritual "drying" session. Which means, I took a spin around the local highway system looking for a race.
I merged onto I540 off I40, lo and behold there was a silver Viper behind me. (what luck!) I paced along in the right hand lane making about 80 or so, but to my chagrin he didn't fly up there on me. Finally, after about a half mile, he slowly went by me. So I fly up on the ass of this extremely nice silver Viper and he floors it! So, I just laid on the throttle in fourth, and slowly started gaining ground. I hit the rev limiter when I was at his rear tire, quickly slammed it in fifth, and proceeded to pull past him until he mysteriously let off when I had a fender on him.
I was on fumes, so I got off on the next exit and went straight to a gas station.
That Viper hauls boogey, let me tell you. He was prolly stock, but I am heavily modded, and I didn't exactly blow his doors off.
I don't know if that was the new Viper with 600 ponies, or the one right before it. I think it was the one with 500 ponies.
We were prolly going about 140-145 when he let off, and I mean quick-like! Dang son, with those tops out I thought I was gonna get sucked outta that car!Heads 'n Cammed, Moser 12, 3.73's, Weight Reduction, 13" Brembo Kit
BMR track suspension, full exhaust, the works...

It was practically deserted, and it was four lane. I was more worried about the gas needle, which was laying as far left as possible BEFORE we punched it. I just knew I was gonna run out of gas!

Hey man, I was checking out your vid, those true duals sound awesome. I might have to get rid of the ole Hooker and go for a true dual setup. Yours sounds way deeper.

The story sounds about right, given your posted rwhp and weight reduction. The SRT10 you raced was very likely a 500hp model, you would definately need more that 400 at the wheel to stop a roll and gain a car and a fender on the 600 hp viper
