    Jetta 1.8t

I was driving in the center lane on the interstate at about 75mph in the goat when I see a green jetta coming up fast as hell on my left. I dropped into 4th gear and immediately started pulling away from him. I let off at about 110 (about as fast as I will go) and this idiot comes flying by me flashing his lights. what a tool.

i'll let them catch up, then deny the flyby. then, i'll taunt them by goosing the pedal four or six times.

Not really. Doesn't make a noticeable difference.

That's why your goat struggled to beat that Jetta. Notice the raw horsepower these 4 cylinders put out.

The power of the 1.8t 4 cylinder is too much for me...

Seriously, my dick wouldn't fit into that turbocharger. It's small.

Yeah. They really are turds. I wish it had been an R32 golf or something fast so I could at least brag about it.

They were never meant to be fast, jsut a DD with enough power to pass people comfortably. With a little exhaust work and tuning they can fully spool by 1900rpms.

That's why you turn the boost up to 22psi on those cars, and they still just barely break 200whp.

The turbo is designed for daily driving. It's a substitute for the lack of displacement, and give the 1.8L a little extra torque. Other than that, turbo upgrade is needed to make some power.

Just because he raced you doesn't mean he thinks is car is a race car. Do you honestly think your goat is a race car? Sounds like the prejudice is going both ways.

Muscle cars/sports cars are designed to go fast usually with some comfort thrown in for added driving pleasure. Race cars are nearly the same with a mostly purely funtional interiors and hightened safely. So yes a muscle car/sports car could be considered a "race" car.

No it cant, you have a warped view of what a race car is.

Look I'm not arguing that there's a distinct difference between a "race" car and a "street" car. But muscles/sports cars have more in common with a race car than a 1.8l turbo jetta with a race car.
