i'm no mustang fan by any means. but you know that should not have been the outcome. something had to be wrong with that car for it to end up like that.

hahaha i know...his car recently caught on fire, electrical lol...but still, he talked so much shit...and i knew it wasnt running right, because before we went, i drove it and it wouldnt even break the tires loose...but literally, in both races i saw him in my rear view, and personally, ive modded my car, and i think if his car was running right, id still keep up.

for your buddy to see your 3.8 liter's tail lights. Hopefully he realizes that a car is not necessarily as fast as it looks.

My car looks faster than it really is, I'll be the first to admit it. But things really came into perspective yesterday on my way home from work when I saw a late '90s Viper GTS red with white twin stripes roar (and I mean ROAR) past me on the interstate. He must have been doing 75mph in 3rd!

The car was lowered, had a gigantic center mount single outlet exhaust, impossibly wide tires out back and a big LeMans style wing. I saw this car at Automotion in Louisville, KY last summer when I got my car dyno tuned. My tech said that he hates Vipers but that one was pushing 700+whp on motor and had a 300 shot of the laughing gas. So here I was within striking distance and I have a pathetic 320whp with an unstalled slushbox at that.

I had my T-tops out and at 65mph with all the wind noise and Disturbed's 10,000 Fists blaring in my ear, I could still hear that Viper a good quarter mile ahead of me. I take pride in my car but I don't pound my chest over it. I was definitely out of my league next to that Viper.

Anyway, unrelated but I thought you guys might like the story.
