I just got murdered...

So I was just driving down the highway, killing time with a Friday afternoon cruise, when out from a side street pulls a bright yellow Lamborghini Gallardo convertible. I instinctively speed up to keep up with him just to gawk at the car, when the light we're approaching turns red.

I'm thinking, "aw hell...no traffic, red light, straightaway roughly 3/4 of a mile before the next light and side streets...I gotta go for it." So, I change lanes, get beside him and see a dude driving who can't be much older than me, with this HOT chick beside him. Either this guy is somebody, or daddy let him borrow his car for his hot Friday night date,

Anyway, as I pull up he's already eyeing my car with an evil/excited grin. Said something to the girl too that I assume was along the lines of, "watch this". I smile, give him a nod and look back at the light...which turns green right at that moment.

I drop it in first and launch her pretty hard. Hooked up right away though thankfully. Of course, so did the lambo...who had half a car by the time I was out of first. I shift into second, and match him for a split second (he was probably shifting too) and he starts pulling on me again. Had me by a car length before we shut down (just before 100) due to upcoming traffic.

Can't win em all....and if I lost, at least it was to a car that cost roughly 10x what I paid for mine.

One car length by a car with around 500bhp and can run the 1/4 in 12.2 is not a kill by any means. I'd say you did very well considering. Just remember, no matter how much faster you make your car - there will always be someone faster.
