i got killed today...

i got killed in my tt ls2 camaro today..... i don't mean beat i mean flat killed..... me versus a wrx... at 50 he spun all 4 tires i got about 2 links on him then i just hear a BOV right behind me and he blows by me when i'm doing about 110 like i was standing still.. so he pulled into the next gas station i pulled in behind him... he was nice enough to show me what he had... turbonetics 72 trim super t, methanol injection.. it was the sickest subaru i've ever seen.. he told me it was originaly a totaled car it had been stolen and stripped and he rebuilt it... it had pretty much no interior 2 front seats no stereo no ac no nothing 2 seats and a steering wheel...

just a twin turbo set up on a LS2.. i run at 10 lbs of boost but i dyno'd at 681.1hp at 17 lbs... it's really nothing more than a kit but i pieced everything together myself and probably saved atleast 2 grand doing it myself... i really do think with my boost up to 17 i still couldn't have taken him... thats sickening

damn, sounds like you have a pretty good set up, and for that wrx to do that to you...i can only imagine. i'm wanting to do some sort of single or tt set up in my z28 in the near future

I got beat like that once by an old DSM goin about 65 he spun all 4 so hard it produced smoke and then disappeared. Heard later he was supposedly running like 35 lbs of boost.

That is ridiculous for a WRX to walk past a twin turbo LS2 like its standing still.

He must have more money invested in that car than most people do in their house.

Turn up the boost and whoop his candy ass next time

.... might want to invest in an electronic boost controller.

WRX's can be very, very fast. I've seen one at Infineon that was putting over 800whp to the ground. Those cars are very capable.

Well that doesn't sound like a street car if it was stripped out and basically a tin can. Even still, I'm just finding it hard to believe he walked a TT LS2 w/ nearly 700rwhp like you were standing still.

And like I said. Not one part is even close to stock, not even the block, and it would have more money invested it in than most people do in their homes. You can make 800WHP for a hell of a lot cheaper with just about any other vehicle in the world.

I understand your point, they are expensive to mod. But my point is that they are very capable of producing numbers that rival those of our V8's.

Definitely capable, but pointless IMO. I'm just not impressed by those cars.

I know a few guys who have stroked their motors from a 2.0 to a 2.2 or 2.3 I cant recall but they were very quick. But as Wesman said, even with the stroked motor that car could run beat a stock STI but could never touch my WS6. Granted, our cars are a much stronger platform to begin with, the WRX/STI platforms are not incapable, just expensive. Boxer motor = no thank you!

But come on, to pass a built LS2 w/ twin turbos like it was standing still? That should be a 9 second car. I'm finding that a tad difficult to believe.
