Blazen Orange Metallic- 2006 GTO
Honorable death
The Contestants: 2007 Dodge Viper Yellow with black stripes, 5% tint and huge yellow wheels. Same model as pic below.
VS: Me. Complete bolt on M6 2006 GTO.
The Setup:
So, I'm heading south through Grandview, MO on my way home from a tailor. With me are three passengers, and a tank about 3/4 full.
I look in the rear view after getting on the interstate and notice some VERY familiar headlights and black racing stripes. I've seen this car, and honked at this car numerous times because we live pretty close to each other, but today was the day.
Because of traffic, the guy ends up passing me as I glare into his 5% tint (or try to at least). Of course I hop behind him and pace him for a few seconds before the car in front of him moves over to the right lane.
The "Race" (if you want to call it that):
Now, after this car moved out of the way, the Viper starts pulling away instantly right as I down shift to 3rd (going about 65. One of the passengers...my mother, lmao, starts to scream and protest as I punch it. Well, I go through 3rd, he's pulling, 4th, he's pulling. Get my warning speed beep at 125mph and he's about 2 buses ahead of me and I shut her down. He keeps going for another few seconds until I flashed my lights at him.
The aftermath:
Finally caught up to him after he got in the right lane to exit at OUR exit. I pulled along side him we both rolled our windows down. My mom, my wife and I gave him a thumbs up and he returned the favor. I hopped ahead of him a couple cars and we both exited. He pulled on side of me at the light and blew the horn, exchange thumbs up again. I noticed he had a yellow Eagle Globe and Anchor emblem on his rear window, so I wish I could have talked to him for a bit but traffic was thick and we were heading in opposite directions.
My Thoughts:
I knew there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to beat or even pull on this guy, but honestly, I just wanted to see him run, and it was well worth it. Maybe without the extra 400lbs of passenger weight I would have done a little better. I'll cam my car and try him sometime before I PCS to another base.

Nice death. There's a guy like 5 blocks from me that has a red/white striped one, looks just like the one you listed, but it sounds mean as hell! I wanna race him after I get my cam in, but I'm pretty sure I'll get smoked. I've always wanted a viper, too bad they're like 80,000 bucks

Hell, I figured he was in the 500whp range. I knew I couldn't beat him. Just wanted to see him run...and boy did I get a show.

Awesome story, nice death! It's finally starting to get warm and people are getting out there with their toys.
Last weekend while my fiance' and I were driving up north to see her folks we saw an old Ferrari Testarossa on the southbound lane.
Your Goat looks awesome!

LMAO, first you try to run a little-ol-lady off the road, and harass her for miles just because she wasn't driving a sports car, then you search my old posts to try to find something to respond to of mine, because I called you on your bullshit?
Man, your gayness knows no limits. I mean, I can actually see you getting gayer, post by post.
I rarely ever see my mom, it's a military thing, you live at home with yours, you wouldn't understand.
I would have raced him even if your bitch was in my passenger seat giving me brain. I let no opportunities pass, because I never know when I might get another one.

SpeedAddict38 knows I don't live with my mom... and as a soldier this guy sucks, he should be doing something other than trying to bicker over the internet like a little girl. you're wasting my tax dollars, people like you are the reason gas is so damn high cuz you're always bullshittin. get your ass out there and find bin laden.
