VW BEETLE W/ FLOWER- 88 CRX
GT-R vs trans am
so me and a buddy set up a race between my TA and his GT-R
we found this good slope to make some serious top speed.
started from a dig, did the three honk and he got the jump. but about midway through the race i was able to pull a miracle outta my ass and fly past it winning by about 3 car lengths.
Johnny Lightning VS idk what his was, hot wheels?

Well it does say race car next to his car in his sig lol. Really though on a roll race it would take about 420-430whp in a f-body to give a GTR a good race.

Well...I just can't stay shut up on this post that's for sure.
The chances of pulling a GT-R by 3 car lengths with an automatic 2002 WS6 (from a dig) means this guy is running in the 10 second range for a 1/4mile.
The GT-R (AND I FREAKIN HATE RICE) has to have some respect. 4 wheel drive, fast as fresh diarrhea out of the hole, and pull it by 3 lengths?
I want to see your mods.
I ran a newer black GT-R at the track and I don't know if he was modded or not but I had the bottle and flipped the switch in 2nd gear running 250 shot and was JUST able to pull alongside him and just a bit ahead in my M6 99WS6 running well over 600HP.
I ran an 11.28 and he ran 11.39
While I don't call BS on this because I don't know your car, I will say its something special and I want to see what it is.1999 WS6 - Black - 414rwhp 401rwtq w/o NOS

GTRs trap 116-120mph, many cammed ls1 cars are trapping faster. If you barely beat a 11.4 second GTR withh 600hp you car is not running what it could. It takes 430ish whp in a 3500lbs car and about a 1.7 60 ft to take a gtr.

GTR's can run 11.80's stock... I think the one you raced was modded. Many people have them at 600whp with tunes on stock turbo's. And a 250 shot should get you 10's... that's a lot of Nitrous, there are all motor LS cars running high 10's N/A and low 10's and 9's on N20.

I'm suprised the op has not chimed in. Three lengths on a gtr is impressive especially from a dig race. My friend has one and when that thing gets moving it is serious. Its bone stock and has run a best of 11.7 @ 121.1mph. I'm not a rice fan but its impressive that his car goes so fast with very little effort. Op, what are your mods?
2002 Camaro SS/M6. Volant CAI, 80mm TB w/spacer, cat delete w/ ory, borla XR-1 w/ cme, custom tune, 3.73's, 8,000k HID headlights and foglights, 19" staggered ruff 278 wheels.

It depends on the OPs mods. Wish he would chime in and tell them. IDK why you think its impossible to pass a GTR after it gets the launch. Thats exactly how a race gtr against a stock c6 z06 looks. 3300lbs car with 440whp.
The gtr is a good car.. no doubt but it isnt some unbeatable force. Especially in a straight line. Really just need to know what the trans ams mods are.Last edited by Zinergy; 12-31-2010 at 01:20 PM.
