Going to race a 2002 GT Mustang

a guy at my school just got a '02 GT Mustang, and he is always showing off his exhaust and stuff, so I have challenged him to a race for 20 bucks. He accepted it and we're gonna race in a month. It's his first car with a manual, so he still needs to get used to driving it. I asked him what he's done to it and he said he has a flowmaster exhaust with a X-pipe, a chip, and cold air induction. he thinks he has around 310 hp right now but I think that's bs. but either way I still have more power. I'm pretty sure I can beat him.

first a 2002 gt with those mods isnt making that kinda power. second, y r u waiting for a month. Maybe hes using the xcuse "im learning how to drive", to get more parts or a nitrous kit that u don no about.

I'm giving him time to learn how to drive his manual. if he's adding stuff that's fine. I'll race him either way. there is no pride in using nitrous!

just use the search button. many people have posted the same exact bulletin as you. And the outcome is usually the same, the marro wins. Thats why they call us stangslayers

you could probably take one with full bolt ons minus heads.

I raced a 2003 gt with 4.10s, with offroad true duals, headers, cam, cold air, few more bolt ons.
When i was stock i had a car on him.

I was on the freeway on night going around 70 when a blue GT pulls next to me and started messing around. I looked at him and dropped my car into 3rd gear and walk away from him. Yea you should get the win easily, but why wait a month. Get him for his money now and if he wants more he can come back in a month. Those GT's are really POS.

he just learned how to drive manual, so he wants some time to practice launching. I figure it's only fair to wait since I've been driving my car with an auto for over a year and a half. he got his car a week ago. gotta have some mercy

instead of the money wager the deal should be who ever loses has to wash the winners ride in front of everybody . more embarrising- plus will last longer

i think u should just take his money right away.. and then take his money again when he thinks he gots the drving down. haha thats just me though. u should take him though... hands down.

with those mods there is no way is has that much hp. i use to have a 98 gt with pi headswap, a mild cam, 373s, full exhaust, tune, cai. and i only made 300 whp. i sold my gt to get my ss and i have raced my old gt and the ss walks away from the gt after around 70.

wow, lol make the bet 100 bux man. i drive a 02 z28 vert M6 with just a lid and i cut my pipe off after the Y,.....
03 gt mustang =CAI,Xpipe, fuel rail haha, throttle body and a few other things,....we did the 20 roll and i walked him by 3-4 cars with 90% throttle

You're not going to have any trouble winning this one. You should go ahead and run him for the carwash and after he "learns to drive" run him for the cash.

A month to learn how to launch a car? It took me under a week to get one of my best times on my mustang via Gtech.

Chances are, hell fuck up the launch anyway. Thats what adrenaline will do for you. Schedule a race asap. A month is way too long. He could buy an LS1 by then..
