Well, I guess that proves what we already know: The LS1 is definitely the serious racer's choice. I mean, you just won't be taken seriously with a Ford. Sure, Cobras are good, but there's a time when you have to separate the men from the boys you know? Just like the vid shows.

In truth they're all LS1's. Just different variations of it. Great engines all.

when you see the same comments after 5 pages, it gets boring and people start bickering. kind of like how this one is going.

it is easy not to take ford seriously over the internet, let's see you on the streets or at track not taking them seriously. cobras are one of the nicests mean machines on the streets. they have been proving this over and over and over. I am one of them running 11.7@123 with 1k in mods and it will go down to 11.4 and still the same. I don't need you not to take me seriously over here. we all know what is out there and what they can do!

Oh dude, I'm not saying you don't have a fast car. It's just not fast enough to mess with FI'd LSx engine. A man's gotta know his limits you know?

dude, LS1 motor ain't gonna perform as good as cobra motors with FI.

Haven't you seen 800-900-1000rwhp cobras on pump gas already? that motor is designed to have FI and 4v loves it. your motor loves nitrous and stroke. you can run FI and make some serious power but you can't say FI LS1 > cobras. 2 different mean machines if you ask me.

you know everyone say our motors cant take FI, there is a guy who i see almost every weekend, has a 99 SS with forged internals, heads and cam with stock compression ratio running 15psi out of a 76trim hybrid turbo making over 750rwhp, with meth injection he has running 20psi making over 830rwhp. Thats with stock comp ratio and he does his own tunning, he also recently tuned my car and it feels like a whole different car now.

However i do agree that if i wanted to go FI i would go with less comp ratio, but hes been running this setup for 2 summers now and nothing has broken yet.

LS1 sure can take FI and make some serious power as i mentioned above.

but V8 DOHC 4v cobra motor LOVES FI and will perform better than an LS1 with FI.

here is a quick video that i had in my favorites.

Lol ok what is that video, you kinda have to tell me what power they are all making and what there setups are. I also dont have any sound (Girlfriend sleeping 1 foot away) so i cant tell if those cars are turbo or whatever, im assuming the mustang is supercharged?

I know ls1 arent made for FI, i was just letting you know there is a guy running over 800rwhp with a turbo setup on stock comp ratio, if you really want to talk about making big power FI, then 1000hp aint shit i see big blocks with FI making 1500hp all the time. I do agree that the cobra is a great motor to put a ton of boost on. Its just that the reason i bought my T/A is i have a supra that made over 500rwhp and is goin to be making over 650rwhp next summer, so i have a turbo car i really didnt want to have another, i want a built v8. With 500 went 11flat so im hoping with 6450rwhp or 700 depending on what turbo i can get a better price on it will go low 10s hopefully high 9s if I get 700rwhp. I want my T/A to have around 450-500rwhp when im done and very streetable, good low 11 second car.

all i am saying is, cobras can make some serious power with FI. i totally disagree whoever says FI LS1 > FI cobra. it all depends.

i probably look like hater but I am actually a big fan on f-bodies and proud to own one.

cobras are great machines. very impressive, very very cheap to make crazy numbers.

I am a foreigner and i don't understand GM vs Ford fight. before i got here, i knew there was an arguement over imports vs. domestic and i understand that.

I do agree that the cobra is better for FI, you can make the ls1 great for F/I, Although if he is heads cammed with a S/C and cant run 10s he needs a better setup. I have seen ls1 cars with heads/cam setup with 4.10s and drag radials pull close to 11 flat, you throw a S/C on there and cant run 10s he needs some help.

I love camaros, trans ams and i would love to have a even stock one. but i can show you many videos of blown F-body vs. terminator and terminator whoops.

it is like supra owners going racing their 800-900rwhp cars against 400-500rwhp cobras FROM A ROLL and beating them and then coming saying "Cobras are not impressive" WTF?

I don't care if anybody don't respect cobras but i do. i always did even when only had my LT1. i went 12.70@113 stock and spent like 700 bucks and ran 11.90 and then spent another 300 bucks and went 11.7@123mph. the car will go 11.4- 11.5 on a cool fall air with ONLY 1k in mods.
Go to ls1tech, both guys that where on the race are over there. Camaro has full stereo system and AC, he weights around 3850lbs. the Cobra weghts much less. I'm not suprissed with the outcome of this race. I seen many Camaros with -100hp hang or stay with Cobras all the time. If this race would of gone from a dig the Camaro would of put buss lenghts on the cobra. Check out ls1tech like I said.

should run 10s without a problem even 9s.. most turbo cobras are running 9s.

excuse me??? i am skinny dude and i only weight 170lbs and my cobra weights 3870lbs with me in it. cobras are 3660+lbs without driver and this is for coupe.

you have probably seen camaro that weights a good 300lbs less than cobra and -100hp hanging with cobras.

as for this race, i will take your word and say camaro was 3850lbs and cobra is probably around the same or more, depends of the driver's weight. it was 802rwhp vs 922rwhp cars, what do you expect? jesus, you don't know sh*t and you come over and talk.

my pig cobra went 11.90 with only intake & 2.76 upper pulley on 80* weather on 275 nittos. and right after the race, i got my timeslip and weighted the car and it was exactly 3870lbs with me in it. go learn a little more about cobras. not everyone can drive!!!
