Yeah, but can you imagine what it would run if you could get most of that power down without spinning (i.e. AWD, RWD)? I'm not disrespecting your car or anything, but I'm not a big FWD fan.... however the 4G63s can make some nasty power.... just be sure you mate it with a AWD drivetrain.

If you guys are into swaps...
We had a guy come through the shop here a day or so ago with a 95 GS-R.
I don't do imports alot, but this one impressed me.. Dropped suspension done right.. fully adjustable A-arms and cabin adjustable struts etc. I think he called it a "H22 swap" V6 out of a Prelude..all forged internals and twin turbo'd. We did an alignment for him as he just finished the suspension. Custom interior etc. Red on black/red.. I could swear it had a ?? 6 speed?? manual transmission in it. I had no idea you could even stuff a V6 into an integra, let alone find room for a turbo set-up. Small stereo but nicely done. Full custom stainless exhaust on it. Bet that little bastard can move. He told me if I see him coming on the highway to slow down so we can line up, I laughed. He didn't give me any numbers as he still has to have it tuned properly, running a "canned" tune. But I can reasonably expect it's fairly fast. Said he has a turbo'd LT1 in a 87 Monte SS too..promised me he would bring the Monte by, said it put down 480ish before his dry shot.. bastard

As far as the GT pulling on an EVO (both stock), assuming driver equal.... maybe way up top, but most likely both will be with in 1/2 a car of each other. From what I've seen both these cars trap the same speed in the 1/4 mile, so within that it should be very close. From a dig, the GT is going to get beat since most EVOs do low 13s in stock form, with a decent launch. I don't think a stock GT is going to pull better that a 1.8 60' on street tires.
The 05+ GT's trap consistantly faster than Evos. Numbers vary for both, but under the same conditions, the GT's are consistantly faster by at least a few MPH.

Not to mention the 4.6 3V's have much better top end than the Evo. The 3V will keep pulling hard into the triple digits, Evos run out of steam as soon as you are at highway speeds.

And Evos only run low 13's stock with a HARD launch. Not just a "decent" launch, we're talking a high RPM clutch frying launch. If you launch it like you care about it, you'll be stuck in the 14's all day. I've seen guys try it, only to be disappointed that their new car isn't as fast as everyone says it is.

In addition, when both cars get bolt ons, the GT is toast. The AWD system really shines when power is added.
Yea I forgot, there is no aftermarket support for Mustangs, parts aren't cheap, and they can't make any power

Okay Wesmanimpossible.... I never said there wasn't any aftermarket support. What I was saying is that right off the bat, with bolt ons and basic mods, the EVO will come out on top because it's turbo and AWD, while the Mustang is limited to being naturally aspirated and RWD. You can take the EVO, get full bolt ons and tune the car for 22psi on stock turbo and run low 12s or better consistently depending on driver. I understand there is a point where there is a crossover in performance when you start getting into heavy modifications, but both cars are proven to kick butt at the track and into the single digits.

Not a big FWD fan, but there are some inaccuracies with your post. First of all an H22 is a 4 cylinder and not a 6. That motor puts out a bit over 200hp at the flywheel stock, however it's a big motor for a Honda, so it ups the weight. Twin turbo is retarded on a 4 cylinder, I doubt it was twin turbo, since the single turbo setup is 99% the norm on Hondas, and there is no benefit from doing a twin turbo setup on a 4 cylinder. Twin turbo setups are best in V configuration engines where each cylinder bank gets it's own turbo.

2 friends of mine both have turbocharged Hondas. They are very very fast, but they have trouble getting the power down, even running nice drag radials. The cars are nice and fun to ride in, but it's just not my cup of tea.

You'd know better than I would about Honda's and swap etc. I am just going off what the guy that owned the car said. I have NO idea what at H22 or a B16 or any of those designations mean..
I can attest to only what I personally saw. Stainless steel exhaust all the way back, Nice Suspension mods, sure looked like a TT setup on a V6 in a tiny car. (altho they didn't look very big to me..) Only turbo cars I ever owned were a 1988 Porsche 944 and a 1990s IROC Daytona. and that was back in 1990's. Lots changed since then. Wasn't trying to postulate about what a knowledgable dude I am.... Just sharing what I thought was a fairly cool car for an import.
Take it for what it's worth. A second hand story on the Internet bro )

Wesmanimpossible post IMO. You don't own an evo, you don't know anything about Evos other then what you've read and what your "friends" (magazines) tell you. Stop acting like you do. Thanks.

Edit: Adding the Wesman video. Maybe you can learn something from it.

I've ridden in, driven, and even worked on a couple Evos. I know plenty about them, you're just in denile because you don't like my opinion of them.

And your video still only shows the pathetic lack of low end power that your car has.

But despite all that...I do still give you props for making that video. I can't say I would take the time to do the same.

My mustang doesn't start making power until 3k. It's all about the setup (Heads and cams with the stang).

Oh my god I can't believe it. I rarely post in this section but I just can't resist. This video cracks me up.

Whom ever made this video has more of a complex than some of the women I know.

It's not your opinion that bothers people, it's your attitude and direction towards cars you don't like.

Pathetic lack of low end power.... maybe I'm not aware but when you're racing you are generally in the cars powerband, which for 4 cylinders is up top. Regardless of whether the car has low end torque or not if you can keep the car in it's powerband it's going to go fast like any other car.

With that being said.... here is an built EVO vs. a built turbo TransAm (on the street from a dig):

Both of those cars are 9 second cars. So how does your comment have relevance when racing.... hrmmm.

That's Chris Mellon's evo. It's a mid 10 second car, not 9s. He holds the stock ecu/maf record at 10.41.

Yeah, the car is from Mellon Tuning. From his trap speed the car is 9 second capable.... as is that TransAm.
