Destroyed an Evo 9 on Friday night

Well to make it short, I see this Evo 9 with atleast exhaust in traffic and he sees me and gives me a few revs. Well we get side by side at the next red light and I ask him whats all done to it he tells me just exhaust and CAI. He asked if he wanted to race to 130 or so when the light turned green and I nodded my head. Well the light turned green and I launch my car perfectly and instantly get about half a car on him and start pulling. Then I guess his turbo spooled up and he started inching up on me till about my door, by the time im in 3rd I start pulling on him hard and by 4th hes about 4 cars behind me, 5th gear hes still about 4-5 cars behind. We get side by side again at the next light and I roll down the window to tell him nice race, but he just keeps staring straight ahead and takes the next left turn.

I guess he was just mad that a bolt-on LT1 destroyed his modded $45,000 rice mobile.

Raced one and he instantly got 2cars on me since I'm an A4... But he ran outta gears I guess and I top ended him. I think I beat him by a car before we both shutdown. AWD def makes a difference...

Chances are the guy didn't want to launch his car like a moron and blow something out, which would explain why he didn't get the jump on the launch.

Bolt on LT1 > I/E Evo 9. The LT1 already puts down 10-20WHP more stock, with bolt ons it just widens that gap.

Like I said, maybe the Evo driver just didn't feel like frying his clutch or risking grenading his drivetrain. It was just a casual street race, not like it was for money or something, its not worth putting that kind of wear on the car and possibly breaking something.

I think its a given that if they Evo driver had launched, he would have ripped him out of the hole.

LT1's should run very low 14's stock, so with his mods he should at least be in the high 13's.

If the Evo driver didn't launch his car (obviously he didn't or he would have killed him off the line) the edge goes to the LT1.

Lakewood is always good for entertainment purposes. I mean, look at Mike Tyson. He is a has-been, but people still want to watch him fight b/c he has the intelligence and fighting ability of a bull dog. They know he is gonna bite somebody's sh*t, or punch someone in the nuts, or tell the dude that just whipped him that he loves him (no shit, watch the end of the Lennox Lewis/Tyson fight, he told that British fag that he loved him)

Even though the 40k might be a little high, the MSRP on the MR is 37k. The standard Evslow is 32k.
