Cts-v ???
My car is apart right now, I am adding the ls6 Intake manifold, a self Ported Throttle body and I just had an ls6 clutch installed. I already have a ftra, lid, hooker longtubes, hkr y pipe and single side exhaust.
Anyway my boy has a new ls2 6.0 CTS-V, and I quote claims he will "peel the paint" off of my car... how true is this??
I am going to race him regardless of what comes of this thread, but I am just wondering what I should expect the outcome to be.
Thanks,

It depends if he is a good driver, but i believe you will still take him, by no means will he ruin your paint lol.

Well he is actually a great driver... he was the driver for a auto mod shop for years... but oh well. I guess I will find out one way or another.
Also... I know the c6 is a beast... but do I even stand a chance as a bolt on only car?? My dad just got one... and you know he is runnin his mouth.
I would be too if I owned that car.

I haven't had the chance to run an SRT-8, they look mean though. I did run a sts-v and he beat me in the lower two gears by like a fender, then in third I gained it back and we shut down. This is with a slipping clutch... but I don't know how much that played into it.
Also I just noticed in another thread, how to beat a terminator, I've beat two. With the mods I mentioned earlier, so these wins were just a fluke??

You should lose but anything is always possible. The C6 will take you no doubt. But basic bolt ons and steeper gears should put you ahead of your boys V and be stiff competition for the C6.

I raced a CTS a little while back. Mods are in my sig or my Fquick site for more indepth detail. I ran from a roll and got a couple cars on him, but it was an older gentleman with his wife, so he may not have run as hard as he could have. Good Luck bro.

I just think he'll have a hard time hookin up and not be able to make up the ground with what he has done. Race him. Since he's so certain ask for a couple cars and take some money from him. The race will be certainly close from a stop if you dont win! He's absurd for thinkin he'll peel the paint off your car. I hope he's just jokin you......

Well the weekend is almost here, and I should have everything back together by Sat night... so we will see what happens. Regardless of what happens I can always spend a lil more $ and get the win next time.
Blue02Z - its funny you said we all have nice cars because not until you mentioned it.. did I realize it.. haha. My brother has a 350z with a bunch of NISMO parts, by other roomate has a 02 c5 auto and my other roomate has an 04 s2000. And we all own bikes... Think we are speed junkies??
Well thanks for all the replies I will fill you in as to what happens...

Thats me too.... I got a 13 second Imp SS, 13 second TBSS-close to 12s....., and a GSXR 600. Thinking about getting rid of the bike to buy a dang 04M6 GTO that has a salvage title on it though. Lots and lots of extra goodies on it.... I like the bike but am just into cars more and this one comes w/ an additional LS1 that would go great in my Impala!!!!

To fast and to fun.. HA HA HA!!!!!! Less you had that bitch to the roadcourse/track, you have no idea of what that bike is even capable of. I would never get a 1000 simply because you can not use that bike for what its capable of on the street. I do want a 750 however. Ahhh, i'm seriously thinking of getting rid of the bike. Its covered in pollen right now and hasn't even been on the road in two weeks...... I'm waitin for a little better wx though. It was sunny here today but felt cold out. I'm a fairwx rider....
