Convertible C6 vs Convertible F-LS1
Stock silver C6 convertible followed me on the highway for about 15 miles and showed no interest in a race. I'm in a slightly modified '00 Camaro, top down, stereo thumpin'. Lots of open spots to run, just no interest as far as I could tell. You surprised? Of course not, its a C6 vert!
I hit the offramp and get stuck waiting for a redlight a couple intersections later. Just as the light goes green, the C6 rolls up and aggresively passes me in the intersection. I squeeze the pedal a little more to catch up. C6 won't have any of it... won't let me line up for a roll. Instead he punches it.
He had the jump on me by 1/2 car, but by the top of 1st I had reeled him. Hit 2nd and I left him. Thumbs up exchanged at the next red light. I had to peel off for work. Next thing I know a black C5 is chirping tires through the intersection while running the C6. Ahhhh, if I wasnt already late for work!

uhhh, I've got a M6 and he's got an Auto (I think)....
Compared to some of the cars I've seen, 500HP would be considered slightly modified. I've already forgotten half the things I have modified, and I don't have time to type the the other half up.

500 HP is a good claim, but if you don't list your mods, how do you expect anyone to believe you?
2000 Silver Z28 w/ Sports Appearance Package, P&P TB, FTRA, Direct Flow Lid, Pace Setter LT's, ORY, Flowmaster 80, TCI 3000 Stall, Trans Go Shift Kit, Computer Tune, Richmond 3.73's, Bilstein suspension, Edelbrock torque arm, UMI Suspension bars, drilled and slotted rotors.

Not to be rude, but I don't care if my post is believed. After all this in the internet, and I could post an entire list of BS mods that I don't really have.
Here are some mods that make my car slow: 2 Pioneer amps, 4 6" JL subs + enclosure, extra sound deading Lowe's, 315 Nittos in front, big fukin ST sway bar, big radiator LG, C5 brakes, DD SFC to name a few.
The only thing stock on the power train is the block, internals excluding cam, and I pipe. The LCA's and TA are stock. Collectors are stock iron, but ported. Obviously, I dont drive wit da stickies.
Think I'm doing pretty good considering I can pull the 'maro into any Smog Check, here in california, and pass sniffer/visual tests. Peace.

way to sidestep the questions. i can guarantee you will run out of creativity before i run out of skepticism.
its not that hard. what do you have done.
heres an example:
2000 z28 hardtop
6 speed
stock except lid, cold air, and no catback.
weight reduction.
3297 lbs. dry.

I can remember weight reduction, that's a short list:
CF Drive shaft, !DSL, !Fog lights
Before the blower, car weighed 3800Lbs..... OUCH.
............ and you're still a skeptic. Really, its 500HP. But what difference does that make if the car is pig heavy and cant hook from a dig?

blower....
im a huge fan of linguistics, but i really hate trying to decipher things over the internet, it makes me lose interest. in every post you add alittle more detail while consecutively remaining ambiguous about what you have.
i wouldnt be a skeptic if i didnt have to piece your story together. its early.
i believe you that its 500 hp. how you make that horsepower is what im interested in....

Nice kill, I would have thought the first mod mentioned would have been a blower...

Close to maxing out those 42.5 pounders yet?

So what made you finally decide to post your mods? Or did you have to give yourself enough time to look over the site...
...Just kidding...
or am I?

Close, but not pushing beyond 85%DC, so OK. Short of blowing it up, I'm done with this car. I put the system together aiming for high 400's and did better. Anything else would be pointless for street driving and cost way too much... built bottom. Not to mention the emissions starts getting too tricky.
I'm trying to get my '57 poncho running.

well if you did kill him with those mods i can believe it. and that is not slightly modded. i would have to say slightly is a few bolt ons. what is dsl on a car? not d!ck sucking lips
-

Probably should have written !tunnel brace. I had a DSL in its place for a couple of years and then removed it. So now nothing there.
Strange that dic sux lips is the first thing that came to your mind...... If you cool with it then I'm cool with it. Not my place to judge you either way.
Heavily Modified = 1000+HP
Modified = 750HP
Slightly Modified = 500HP
Few Bolt Ons = Rice Beater
