confused rice
hopefully i will not get flamed on my first post here.i have a 87 rx7, wait keep reading, with a old school 11.5 comp solid roller small block.i was out driving around and here in upstate ny we have way too many ricers. this kid pulled up at the light and just revved the shit outta his car.so i sat there just and as soon as it turned green i mashed it and he did not even know what to think.i pulled off into autozone and was going to get some stuff when he pulled in.he came over and said ,"dude whats wrong with your car it sounds flat" i allmost could not contain myself.so i opened the hood and he looked at it and said "what kinda engine is that".then my wife chimed in and said "your kidding right, its only the biggest mass produced engine on the planet" and then walked away.just wait to they see the ls1 with a t 56 iam putting in there next spring, then they will be really messed up.i have attached some pics
p.s-it runs 9.80 @137

Not bad, it definitely has a "sleeper look" although i could do without such a big cowl hood, although I'm sure it is a necessity.

what rear-end do you have in the car? have you ever had the engine dyno'd?
You say small block, most assume it's a 350, the largest dispaclement you can achieve with the small block is a 454, and that's a custom block(motown), Crank etc. I also noticed it's not blown, or spraying. I'm not calling B.S. but I have a hard time seeing a small block propel your car into the 9s2006 impulse blue G.T.O
Iron Block 408
Cam
Pacesetter ceramic coated L.T.s
LMII exhaust
K&N CAI
Ported TB
Custom Tune

EDIT: correction, I do see the NOS solenoids, how big a shot? how many stages?

you must not have clicked the pics. the one of the engine shows a direct port nitrous system. solenoids under the air filter.

yeah I figured that out, as I said I'm not calling B.S., just a little skeptical, and curious.

Nice ride. It'd be the perfect sleeper if it didn't have such a large cowl hood. But, you gotta do what you gotta do for clearance.
Oh, and WTF did he mean it sounds flat?
