Cobra?? Not impressed.

Today I was driving home when a guy probably about 25 or so pulls up next to me in a cobra.. I say whats up to him, and he just ignores me (his girl smiled and waved

) So we pass the construction that was on the road, and I'm ahead of him as the road goes into a 3 lane.. I move into the far lane, and see him flying up behind me, so I downshift to second and hit it when he's about dead even to me..

Flew by him like he was standing still, put it in third, realized how far back he was, then just coasted to the upcoming light.

Here's the funny part...

We meet at the light, and he goes "show me something fast and I'll race you."

So I laughed and shook my head, smiled at his girl and took off. What an idiot.. my opinions/respect for the mustang guys in my area is going downhill.

On a lighter note, as I was about to turn onto my street, I see a friend I just met a few days ago at a light in his 2001 SS, so I turn around and pull up next to him and we start talking... (of course I told him about the dumbass in the ford

)

So we drove down the road a bit, through the intersection, I downshifted to 3rd at about 55mph, honked 3 times, and went. He pulled on me by about a car and a half. We turn around, and go from a dead stop, and I took him by about 2 cars.. Last time we went from about 35mph, put it in second and took off.. he beat me again by about a car..

His mods = SLP lid, ported TB, removed cats, drag radials, and 4.10's

I thought he would beat me from the stop, because of his tires, but I managed to take him.. I have the same 4.10's sitting on my floor waiting to be put in.. That should be fun

I think I did pretty good against him, I also had 2 people in the car with me, he was alone. It was my first loss but was also the best race I've ever had since I got the car a couple months ago.. It was fun because I FINALLY had a challenge..

I'm sick and tired of GT's, Cobras, and ricers

uhh, wasn't a newer one, wasn't supercharged... it was the older one.. like 99?

i think they were fox bodies.. think that's what they're called.

I thought it would have been a nice little dig on him seeing he's a bit older than you and claimed to not raced knowing he is slower.

you shoulda waited till you guys got a nice even run next to each other. if he's gonna do a ricer fly by, you should just let him. but there is that chance he was trying to get next to you to do a run when you punch it.

we were lined up originally, and he kind of hid behind his girlfriend and didn't make eye contact with me and he ignored me when i said whats up...

and no way was i gonna let him fly by

i seen him coming in real fast and i had the tops off so i could hear him.. he wasn't trying to line up with me.. he was just gonna fly by and probably try to avoid the race all together
